Last year when we moved and were not able to bring our washer/dryer and refrigerator because they did not fit in our new home we bought used appliances from Rivera's Appliance to replace them. They were delivered and have worked well until our washer began leaking last week. We again went back to Rivera's to buy a used replacement washer. It was delivered the next day. When I started a load of clothes I mentioned to my husband how loud the machine was and we thought ""oh well, it is used..."" the next day we put in another load and it was much louder and didn't spin the clothes well. Black oily water came out and flooded our laundry room. We called Rivera's and a guy came out and said the water pump was broken, along with a belt. He said he didn't have the part with him but would be back tomorrow (Saturday) early as their shop opens at 10. We stayed around the house until we finally called at 12 and were told someone would be there ""in awhile"". 20 minutes later Jose called and said he didn't have the part but would be out Monday. I expressed my dismay that we bought a washer in good faith and now 1 day and 2 loads later it's broken. I told him that we couldn't wait because I had a ton of laundry to do and I wanted him to pick up the machine and replace it with another one that worked. He said he didn't have a truck to do that. He said it's not his problem that I had a lot of laundry ""why did you wait to Friday to do laundry?"" He said this was all our fault because his guy told him we broke the water pump! I asked him to make this situation right, he said it was all our fault and he would only come out on Monday and fix it. I warn everyone not to purchase an appliance from this store as they deliver products that do not even work.
Cons: poor communication with customer, blame customer for shoddy work
