This is my brunch spot. Even though it's always crowded, it adds to the atmosphere. It has great pancakes and breakfast burritos.

I sometimes visit Rise-N-Dine twice a day, for coffee (best in Emory Village, surrounded by coffeehouses), food, conversation, and atmosphere. I miss it on a day like today, almost fasting without my visit. Go, tell 'em I sent you. more

Breakfast Nook in Neighborhood Atmosphere 6/3/2009

This is the best breakfast diner in Atlanta.. The neighborhood atmosphere is great - the waiters and owner are ALWAYS nice and attentive and the food is delicious. The food is consistently awesome. The prices are fair, which seems to be a rarity lately in Atlanta breakfast places. They also have some great vegetarian options. We love to split the granola and yogurt, and a farm to market omelet. They got rid of the dill omelet- too bad. Get the coffee here- good stuff. My only issue with the place is that the service is great at the beginning of the meal, and always falls off to hunting down our food and check by the end. This place is worth that hassle though. Nice Little Breakfast Spot In Emory Village! Love The Sweet Potato Pancakes! 8/8/2007

Last week, I had an early appointment with my eye doctor at Emory. I finished early, and was hungry for breakfast. And this little hole-in-the-wall was just what I needed. And for such small change. I can't stop talking about the Sweet Potato Pancakes, which were layered wih cinnamon and sugar, and all that butter and maple syrup, I drowned them in. Added a side of Applewood Smoked Bacon, and I was in heaven. They have homemade biscuits, and some interesting omelets. Coffee is good, and sorta reminds me the early days of Murphy's, in the beginning, when they were around the corner from the firestation. Just yummy! Pros: Inexpensive Homestyle Breakfast, Sweet Potato Pancakes! Cons: Parking Can Be Tight! more
