First rate facility, excellent staffing 7/4/2011

I have used Riordans for my dogs over the last 4 years. They have a state of the art, spotless facility where my dogs are very well cared for, exercized in play areas, and returned to me in good health and good spirits. I am a professional breeder and have seen a lot of kennel operations so I have a good deal of experience. This is a first rate place, skilled and caring owners, and superb facility. Highly highly recommend. more

I would Trust this Kennel 10/4/2010

I have now taken Oliver to Riordan""s Kennels on three different occasions. Although he sleeps for the entire day that he comes home. He is always happy and healthy when I pick him up, and more importantly still loves to come and see the girls. He gets excited the minute the car turns into the driveway. I am really happy I can go away and not worry because my baby is getting the best care in the area. more

Unfortunately, your checked bounced upon payment. When I notified you, you became embarrassed and that's when your kennel experience was no longer positive. Anyone who has ever done business with me and the kennel would know better than to believe this review. I wish you the best in the future. more

WORST EVER! 7/27/2009

I cannot believe the other reviews. My experience there was just the opposite. I should have known when I arrived to drop off my babies. The owner, Linda, berated me for showing up at the wrong time. When we made the reservation, we we not told that she closes for two hours in the afternoon - and unbeknowst to us, we apparently showed up during this ""break."".I've never known a functioning business to be closed for two or three hours in the middle of a normal business day - except may be in Mexico - but this was Mays Landing. Anyway, she berrated me for showing up there at the wrong time. Then she proceeded to have a major attitude as I filled out all the forms. I should have noted the ramshackled stinky, chicken coop atmosphere of the place and left with my pets then and there - but she had come recommended by my vet's office. And I had a plane to catch. I had my dog groomed ($45) before I brought him there. When I got him back (after only 4 days) he stank to high heaven (urine and feces smell). My cat also had the same horrible stench about her. I immediately had to give both a bath and take my dog back to the groomer the next day . When I called to complain (my husband had picked them up), she was extremely rude to me, tried to blame my pets (whom I never known to be this stinky) and started yelling like a mad woman. She refused to refund me the money that I spent grooming my dog before and after this little episode. And she hung up on me (great businesswoman). I stopped payment on the check my husband gave her for the boarding - AND SHE THREATENED TO FILE CHARGES AGAINST ME!!! She screamed and yelled at me like she was a crazy woman and threatened all kinds of things. So I paid her - but begrudgingly. I think a good business person would have let it go or work something out - but she didn't. All she cared about was the money - obviously not my pets, their health or my concerns about them. Please take your pet anywhere but here. Pros: That I never have to return Cons: I hate to think I left my pets at this place more

Very Happy I choose Riordan's Kennel 1/11/2008

I was very happy with this kennel choice. This was not only my first kennel experience but also the first time for Trooper. Trooper is a 6 month old beagle because he is still a puppy I wasn't sure how he would do in a kennel. I came in for a happy visit and Trooper and I both were impressed with Linda. She took time with Trooper and let him visit a run so I could see how he would react to a kennel situation. I felt better about leaving him after the visit. When I picked him up after his kennel stay he was just a happy as when I dropped him off. This kennel is very clean and you can tell the staff really loves the dogs. Great Kennel No worries this is the place to stay 7/19/2007

This is was first boarding experience at Riordan's Kennel but it was recommended by my vet. I am happy to report that I will used this kennel for years to come. I was very unsure about leaving my dog, Sadie in a kennel but I was unable to have family stay with her. I called and talked to Linda who suggest a meeting for both myself and Sadie before her kennel stay. The visit went very well, I felt that Sadie would receive good so I booked the stay. When we returned from our vacation Sadie was a happy puppy almost as happy to see Linda as to see me. Thank You Dr. Scott for your good advice, and Thank you Linda for making this a great experience. Best kennel experience ever! 10/1/2006

We always took our dog to our vet's office to stay while we were away. the office was booked so we took a chance at a local kennel, Riordans. This was the best expereince we ever had with Jaxs. The girls were wonderful with him, there was no adjustment when he came home, and he didn't even seem in a hurry to leave the place. I'll never board with our vet they are best off when our pet is ill but for a fun trip Riordans is the only place for Jaxs. Pros: great people good care very happy pet when we retruned Cons: limited hours more

Best Kennel experience ever 10/17/2005

This kennel was not only very clean, but the staff was warm and friendly. My dog, Sammy seems to take to Judy immediately. I feel very relaxed when leaving. When I returned 2 weeks later, I found Sammy to be happy, and well cared for. Highly recommend this kennel to anyone who really cares about their baby. Pros: friendly, clean, safe more
