It cost me $300 to leave a salon with burnt hair. Betty left me for three hours with Keratin in my hair, a product they promote exclusively. After I complained, and waited yet another half hour, she finally said she put it all over my hair, not just what I had requested, on the top. I was told originally it would be $150, instead it was $300. But at that point it wouldn't have mattered, my hair was damaged. Of course, you leave there, they blow dry it and it looks great. But wait till you wash it out three days later. My hair was brittle and unsightly. I've had to go elsewhere and have five inches cut off my hair. It's like a little flea market there disguised as a high-end salon, selling you everything from salon needs, to cheap jewelry, clothes and food. They may get to you fast -- that's because they don't have a lot of business right now. They just have a lot of businesses going in the same space. It's an illusion. Don't fall for it like I did! more

Let me just begin by saying Thank God for Rik Rak! It is rare to find a great salon that is opened 7 days a week. I was in a jam and needed my hair done on a Monday and did some research on the web and discovered Rik Rak...they scheduled me with Vanessa and couldn't be more happier that they did...To begin, I have very difficult hair to blowout and style...my hair is naturally curly with 24 inch long extensions ! She styles my hair every Monday to perfection and is extremely talented...I get compliments all the time as soon as i leave the salon and the style actually lasts a good 2-3 days if you needed it to... Vanessa is a genius and is also skilled in other areas of hair such as color, highlights, extensions, keratin treatments..etc... In addition, she is fabulous in other areas of beauty such as makeup and airbrush body painting....What more could you ask for! She is a jack of all trades! Thanks Vanessa! more

I was in town on a business convention and I popped in Rik Rak Salon for a quick blowdry and Makeup for a cocktail seminar we were having that evening and before I knew it Joy had foils in my head and placed a few extensions for added volume I looked like a brand new woman. I always wait no matter how long I need to get my color done to see Joy. Her blonde is never too brassy and the hilights grow out naturally so I get a few more weeks out of the color. I don't know the brand of color that she used but it never fades. I love Joy! My sister is getting married in Miami and we will be using Joy for her wedding! Highly reccomend this salon the food and atmosphere is truly a unique experience! more

I get my haircut with Joy,,,I am a middle aged business man who suddenly has found myself out on the singles scene again and I was recommended Rik Rak Salon by a friend who goes to see Joy for his cuts and he loves her so I went. My hair was predominately white and I never in a million years ever would have put color in my hair but Joy put in a clor they use just exclusively for men that added a little pepper to my salt as Joy put it. She didn't completely cover my gray she just added a little pepper she said and gave me a fresh new cut and a whole new look. I need all the confidence I can get. The head massage was great and Joy has an incredibly vivacious personality. Very Charming girl. Thank you Joy! Her name is a perfect fit! more

Finally a stylist who speaks blonde! I have been trying to get a decent blonde for years I have been everywhere. There is astylist at Rik Rak Salon and her name is joy and her color work is phenomonal. It is about time!!! I don't know why I cannot find a colorist who can give me blonde with no red and not frying my hair or making me too white. The Cut was amazing and she did my makeup and updo for my sisters wedding! This girl is amazing! I also saw Sue for a manicure and pedicure it was awesome. The food and the sevice was outstanding, but I loved my hair the most. GO SEE JOY!!!! SHE DOES IT ALL!!! more

Becca, a new stylist from CA is awesome. I saw her as I was getting my nails done and figured she was a client, and wanted to know who did her hair.. Turns out she was a hair stylist and colored her own hair!!! I quickly made an appt with Becca and couldn't be happier. She has amazing talent with hair color and really listens to what you want. Best highlights ever. more

I had hair straightening done at Salon RikRak at The Four Seasons Hotel by Luis Bonomo. Extremely professional!! I have had this done previously at other salons and was very dissatisfied. Finally I have found a place i can keep going back to. more

This was my second time getting my hair colored with betty. The first time in Feb. I got a base color and She put in about 8 foils on the top without discussing price and I ended up paying about 150 for the 8 foils. I over looked it, b/s my hair looked great. However, now my second time in,early may) I was very clear that the color last time was perfect. This time I want the same minus the foils! I did not get the same i expressed my concern inside the salon. I was told after I wash it a few time it will lighten up. Not only did I want it lighter but much brighter I'm very disappointed, and will not go back or recommend. more

I've never had a bad experience at Rik Rak ever. I always go to Mario, who is absolutely amazing at styling hair. He is extremely talented in the special event hair. It has a great ambiance and everyone is genuinely nice. I've never had a bad mani or pedi there either, its always been top-notch! Pros: Great hair stylists more

My whole Rikrak experience started off bad. I made an appointment at the location on 1428 for my hair and my nails.I just needed to get my hair blown out for an event that i had for work a few evenings ago. I accidentally went to the rikrak at the four season ...which is literally located across the street. The four seasons is amazing. i walked into rikrak and it looked like a mess. It was one of the cheapest looking salons ive ever seen.The man who attended me was just so pleasant. He was in the middle of doing a haircut..but still was so attentive . then some girl that look like a hot mess came out and told me there was no appointments for me in there system...so after some waiting i realized i was at the wrong place..well if it wasnt for the lady doing the nails.I went over to the real rikrak and ohhh man what a JUNGLE. theres a thousand things going on ..i was already about ten minutes late.So my stylest started with someone new. and they just blunt out told me i had to wait.I wanted to start getting my nails done and you would imagine with like 7 manicure table i saw the Manger told me that they were all off to lunch. It was 3 in the afternoon. She was so rudeeeeee and disturbing to look at. Make a long story short my hair that started with a blow dry ended up with a cut ...a bad cut. All they kept on saying was how horrible i looked that i needed everything done. i felt so offended.The owner with the long hair he was trying to reassure me but it seemed he was hitting on me. I had a $10 sandwhich there that i promise was worth like $3. Never again.My nails came out great but not worth it at all. more

first of all as a first customer, I did a pendicure and manicure and they were good. Then, I did my hair and makeup with Cari. She didn't do a good job on either one. with the makeup she made me look like a clown by doing a contour or something like that with my make up face. Then the same person Cari did my hair. At first the shampoo and treatment was nice, but then styling my hair well let's just say that all she did was curl it with her finger and that was the style, Wow something that I could have done at home and then she cut it in some strange layers when i didn't ask her too and she didn't even told me what she was going to do. I really hated that!!! The last visit was Sandy, she did a great job on my face. I was happy for once. I would go back there again because of Sandy and that's it. The staff was nice to me. When I first moved to miami I was really nervous about anyone touching my color treated hair. I read about Rik Rak in a magazine, the reviews were great so I made an appointment. This was two years ago and I have been going back to Rik Rak exclusively ever since. Theresa does my highlights and she is amazing!!!! The woman that did my bikini and eyebrows was the most unprofessional EVER!!! she talked non stop about her last client, not realizing i can speak spanish she complained how about having too many clients that day and her back was killing her. the wax was too hot and her room was less than clean and smelled of old burnt wax. i wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. I was told to go for eyebrows by someone that read about her Leticia , now she is so overbooked and $40 for eyebrows come on this place is a mess from desk to door. I have been a loyal customer of Rik Rak Salon, Spa and Boutique for many years and strongly encourage others to visit the salon. I have very high stadards regarding quality service, and I wouldn't recommend Rik Rak unless I was absolutely pleased. Rik Rak is unique because it provides a full spectrum of salon services while also offering beautiful clothing and accessory items. The owners, Ric and Raquel, truly care about their customers and are very dedicated to their work. One or both of them are always there. Betty, the manager, has always been my hairstylist. She does an outstanding job with my color, and I get many compliments. I have referred many friends and acquaintances to her, and they have also become loyal customers. Betty always makes herself available and is impeccably punctual. She is a true professional, and I am very grateful for all her work over the years. I also enjoy the great boutique, which offers unique jewelry, dresses, casual attire, shoes, and even athletic wear. Whenever I wear something from Rik Rak, I get many compliments. RikRak Salon is simply the best. Here I have found not only the sexiest hair possible, thanks to my beautiful stylist Betty, but amazing color and above all a great welcoming environment. Rick and Raquel are so thoughtful and make all customers feel like queens or kings for the day. You can always find something new: from the best salads in the world to the hottest new trends in fashion. As a news anchor woman in MIami I am very grateful for the care and effort of Betty and her assistant Ilianis in trying to make me look beautiful always in front and behind tv cameras. As I have to my friends and collegues, recommend Rik Rak to anyone looking for the best color, sexiest hair, and the most beautiful salon of all South Florida. Can't miss it....... I received a gift certificate and was very excited. The first service was a pedicure, which was $45. At my usual salon it is $25. There is no comparison and absolutely no reason they should charge so much. I was taken to a back corner near a sink and got an extremely basic pedicure in an uncomfortable chair. My regular pedicure includes a scrub, foot and leg rub and you are seated in a massage chair. Cons: Overpriced and just not good. more
