I recently had a dress made for a special occasion. From the outset of the project there were problems...delays in getting the project started, repeated fittings for issues that had been previously addressed, and lateness in completing the dress. But I feel the largest difficulty was a lack of communication. The ""fitter"" was not the ""seamstress"" and therefore, I was not able to demonstrate directly to the seamstress exactly what I felt the problems were in getting the dress to ""fit"" correctly. After 5 fittings and a lot of stress, I made the decision to wear another dress for the special event. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a dress from Macy's ""on sale"" for a fraction of the cost of having my dress made. Although it was not my original color choice, it fit like a glove! For me, the Right Fit was definitely the Wrong Choice!
