Marianne Laff, C.N.P. 7/16/2011

Marianne Laff deserves a 10 Star rating. We have been seeing her since she started with Dr. Rife's group. Marianne is caring, competant, easy to talk to, very knowedgeable, and listens to you. As far as the other doctors, I personally do not want to deal with them. If Marianne leaves, so do we. In closing, about 1/2 ot the staff is not friendly, but the other 1/2 makes up for it. more

Worth checking into 3/22/2011

You won't find anyone more dedicated, caring and professional than Marianne Laff, one of the Nurse Practioners at Rife & Associates. She takes the time necessary to get to the bottom of your concerns and methodically work through them. The staff has always been acceptably professional in 10+ years as my primary care provider. Dr. Rife is not my idea of a patient and compassionate physician, but she has surrounded herself with alternatives so that patients may choose someone who fits their needs. Another commenter mentioned the condescending signs regarding payment, etc. posted throughout the waiting room. They are insensitive and should be revised. It's a two-way relationship between doc & patient, and both deserve respect. more

Marianne Laff is the best!!! 3/10/2010

My husband, daughter and I have gone to Dr. Susan Rife and Assoc. for more than 7 years. Marianne Laff has been our primary that we have seen. She has helped both my husband and I quit smoking, helped us through some horrible times in our lives and been a wonderful doctor with answers to all our questions. She listens, cares and truly has what I would call a wonderful "bed side manner". She is the kinda of physician all people need to go to. We would be lost without her. more

Not a good Doctor 12/14/2009

Dr. Rife is not a doctor who listens to her patients. I visited her 3 times in 6 months trying to look for answers and direction. Her response was prescribing me medication that I do not need and sending me off. If you have questions, then you will not find answers (or help for that matter) with Dr. Susan Rife and her associates. I am 27 years old and I have muscular pains. When I told this to Dr. Rife she prescribed me various psycho-drugs and told me that I have anxiety. People who know me would say that anxiety is the farthest thing from me. I tried to tell her that this pain is a physical pain and she wouldnt listen and told me to take these pills for 6months at least. Well, I think that she is a careless, self-important, and self-consumed doctor who has a closed mind. She is to medicine as Bernard Madoff is to capitalism. I will never go back to Dr. Susan Rife's office more

HORRIBLE!!! 3/7/2009

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR OR HER ASSOCIATES!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT!!! This is coming from my own experience, my family's experience, and THREE other past EX-patients. Dr. Rife herself and her associates are some of the WORST doctors I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. The Dr.s are rude, her staff is VERY rude, and her medical advise is as good as googling symptoms myself. I would've been better off staying home and diagnosing myself. I went in with allergy symptoms and without giving me an allergy test (for upper respiratory and stomach problems) she told me I would have to take Claritin for the rest of my life. I told her I don't want to be on a pill forever, not to mention the kind of side affects that would cause, and her response was, "We'll then you'll have to suffer through the pain." ...??? Excuse me? Haven't you ever heard of alternative treatment, not to mention the fact that you didn't even order an allergy test for me!?! I wish I never went, what a waste of money and time! more

Dr. Rife and Associates 6/3/2008

The Dr.'s are wonderful, kind, and they take the time to explain what needs to be done about your specific condition (How your Dr should be). I have never had a problem once I have gone back in to the examining room, but the ladies at the front desk must change their attitudes. I have been going there since 2004, maybe 2-3 times per year, and I can't remember a time those ladies were respectable, had smiles on their face, and wasn't talking about someone else in the office. They are very unprofessional. Several times after I walked in standing directly in front of them, they just ignored me continued what they were doing, chatting among themselves. I not sure what business etiquette class they were enrolled in, but my understanding is DROP EVERYTHING FOR THE CUSTOMER, and ATTEND TO THEIR NEEDS. I guess everything can't be perfect, it's enough that the Dr.'s are great....they are, after all, why we are there! more

A review of Rife & Associates Family Medicine 9/26/2007

I do not have any issues with Doctor Rife as a doctor. It's how the patients are treated I have an issue with. The staff members are frequently rude and treat you as if your a bother. The signs posted regarding rendering payment and no use of cell phones in the office are written in a very condescending way. I understand the need for the signs however, they should be written in a manner that doesn't insult people. Like any business they should really focus on how the staff is perceived by the patients. BLAH! Dr. Susan Rife, DO 4/18/2007

Do not like her. You can keep her. I switched away. SOOO much happier. If I could rate her ZERO stars, believe me, I would! My opinion. more

A great family doctor 12/9/2005

My sister first went to Dr. Rife and really like the doctor, so I decided to pick for my HMO group. I am very pleased with the doctors at this office, all take the time with you to answer your concerns, with no rushing. They have both female and male doctors to chose from. Usually can get in pretty fast, but with some waiting at the office. (what doctor don't you have to wait for?) Waiting only tells me they are good. more
