Ridge Runner Arms

I have done a lot of shopping at Ridge Runner in the past and they are happy to take your money, but I have seen several reviews on this and other sites that shyed me away. I dont know anything about a 'Chicago turn around scheme' or what that is, but it dosent look like that's what happened to the guy below. If that was the case, why wouldnt he have taken the check that was written (according to another response from the clerk) and get the heck out of dodge with his money before the clerk shot the gun and broke it?! This is exactly why I no longer do business with Ridge Runner, and why i am taking the time to review them. They will call you a liar to your face, and then again when you actually complain to the public. I am glad to see sites like this where people can tell of their experiences and others can make up their mind for themselves... most consumers are smart enough to know when a post is put up here by someone who works with or for the vendor, and when people are really talking about their experience. If this guy was trying to scam you (as you suggest with the 'turnaround scheme' comment), why would he take the time to post a review like this? Sorry to say I agree - terrible situation. It does not sound like the gun was broken before it came in though... as a gunsmith would you fire a pistol that was broken? I mean, you would know if it was broken before you fired it, correct? more

I have been doing business at Ridge Runner Arms since they opened the place, I have traded, purchsaed pistols and rifles. I have had them do work on several pistols and I have always been satisfied with the way they operate. I am sure they are learning about these ""Chicago turn around schemes"" that come in the door, with broken guns, claiming all kinds of things looking for a free lunch. I reccommend Ridge Runner Arms for all people that are looking for a fair deal. more

I recently visited the shop to show then a piece that they might be interested in purchasing for resale. He (I assume the owner) was interested and offered me a price and then asked if he could shoot it. Knowing that he is supposed to be a knowledgeable and seasoned professional, I had no reservations about handing it over for test shots as he had just made an accepted deal.
