I must agree with Hannah C, harpeth and vot2chg; There is definitely a customer service issue with this florist, especially not being able to accept being at fault. My grandmother passed away and I used Richland Florist as this was the flower shop my family used for the last 50 years. I went into the shop and talked with a very nice sales person, I expressed to her what I wanted in my flower spray and said specifically no carnations, she said the arranger would only use small carnations for filler. I agreed. If someone tells you they want pink, roses, lillies, a normal person would already begin pricing the higher spray, not the least expensive spray they would deliver. I would have paid whatever the price was for what I wanted, money was not an issue. When I arrived at the funeral home and saw that my spray was only carnations with a little blue wax flower filler I couldn't believe my eyes. I immediately contacted the florist and of course a Friday afternoon at 4pm, there was nothing they could do. I was told that I ordered the least expensive spray they arrange and that would be carnations. The owner Sharon Harwell, was very rude, she did not care about my feelings or that I was upset. She didn't even care that my grandmother has just passed away, that I was grieving and told me I should have read my receipt and made sure her employee wrote everything down correct. It was her employee that made the mistake, not me. That was her job to make sure I paid for what I asked for. She did not believe they did anything wrong and basically told me I was wrong. She truly needs a lesson in Customer Service and being a business woman I would think she would strive to make a better name for her flower shop and make her customers happy. I even asked her to meet me in the middle for 1/2 of my $120.00 back. She still stood by her decision that she wasn't at fault. I cried when I saw those hideous flowers and I promise you and the world I will never use Richland Florist again, and if I could I would put this on TV. Without customers you don't make any money, without money, you don't eat! Shame on you Richland Florist and the Harwell family. I truly hope this doesn't happen to you, but just remember what goes around comes around and I sleep well at night, and by the comments on this webpage, you must toss and turn at night because you seem to be a very unhappy and unpleasant person. Lesson learned never pay cash, use your debit card so you can dispute charges. Signed with a sincere heart Kimberly Simmons!
