Mr. Rooter's firm provides high quality plumbing service. In our case we had a water heater overflow, a situation which generally would make one worry about the water heater and its functioning. Mr. Rooter himself reviewed the situation and determined the water heater was fine, but that the water pressure regulator for the house, 40 feet away, had gone bad. The repair and replacement were accomplished in about 30 minutes and he took the extra time to help me understand the issues involved. The price was, to my mind, high ($450) but my impression is that this is pretty typical for the plumbing market in this area, i.e. you will pay this for an established firm.
