Richard Richards

I've been seeing Dr. Richards for over 10 years and can honestly say that I've never had a doctor give the time and detail he does. He is a 3rd generation doc and in shows. He takes the time to explain what's going on to you and is very genuwine about your care. I couldn't say enough nice things about him and how happy I have been with his care and treatment(s) over the years. I'm grateful to have found such a great physician. more

I've been seeing Dr. Richards for over a year and he's what all doctors should be. Yes, he's old-school and doesn't have the most modern office, but he's one of the few doctors I've seen who actually cares about truly finding the root causes of his patients' health problems and helping them have a good quality of life. It's not often we find health care professionals who take the necessary time and a real interest in our total wellness; most are too over-scheduled and profit-driven to do so. Even the docs who aren't sometimes don't really listen to us and work to find solutions that give us a high quality of life! I was concerned about the return visits at first, like the other reviewer. However, as I got to know Dr. Richards, I understood more visits were necessary for him to unravel and treat, instead of put a band aid on, my health problems--not that there are tons, but a major one was missed by every one of my primary docs until Dr. R found and treated it, and I'm actually getting very healthy for the first time! A holistic approach requires more time and better supervision than most doctors provide. It's not a moneymaking scheme, it's just excellent care. I think that's shocking to most of us because it's such a rare thing to find in this world of HMOs and cost-cutting; we're simply not used to the quality of care because so few doctors provide it. more

Dr. Richards is the first doctor I have had that really seems to be passionate about the biology and care of the human body. He always takes the time to go into the how, what, and why of health care, and the bodily biology involved. I now work in Seattle but will continue to drive to Redmond to keep him as my doctor. more

I found Richard Richards because he was one of the first results in the Primera directory near where I work. The first thing I noticed about the office that it was antiquated and felt like I was visiting a doctor in his house. If he had any medical equipment, I don't know where he keeps it. While all I wanted was him to investigate my potentially broken leg, he simply kept finding new reasons to have me come back for further visits. The final visit was one day to help fix something about my posture when I was told to change into some patient clothing. Expecting a gown, I was passed some well used workout clothes that, while clean, were not really something I wanted to put on. I recommend finding a better medical facility, one with proper equipment. more
