I was date-less (BF out of town) and i didn't feel like cooking so I walked into Red House because it looks like the joint where it does mostly delivery and take-out. I don't like eating alone in a nice restaurant feeling like a loser. LOL
Anyway, I ordered their dinner special of Shrimp Chow Fun with Hot and Sour Soup. My food came really quick. However, they didn't give me chopsticks. This is usually a bad sign because authentic Chinese restaurant always gives you chopsticks whether they think you could use them or not.
So I had a sip of my soup; it is pretty good. It has tons of ingredients in them and is ""hot"" and ""sour"" as described.
The main dish though, is rather disappointing. This is one of the easiest dishes on the menu and you could hardly screw it up. Nevertheless, they did. It is bland, and pretty greasy. I was trying to finish them but I couldn't. Eventually, I had to ask for some hot sauce to add some extra flavor.
I am guessing at this kind of places you need to order walnut shrimp or sesame chicken because deep fried dishes are usually safe.
Pros: Fast and a lot of food
Cons: lack of flavor
