Unprofessional 9/25/2011

Do NOT rent from these people. They lied to us about the house they wanted us to rent, trying to get us to sign a lease without first having seen the property. The people who work in the office do not communicate with each other at all, they wanted us to pay more for the deposit than what they put in the lease agreement, and they never came to look at the mildew problem in the bathroom. While living there, we received foreclosure papers for the owner. We took them to the leasing office for them to forward, but then they couldn't get the owners on the phone to find out whether they were bringing the mortgage current, or if the foreclosure was moving forward. We moved as soon as we could after that. more

Simply awful 9/1/2011

Our time with this company has been thoroughly nightmarish. We have lived in our rented home for 16 months now, we are on a month-to-month lease and are moving out because we are buying a home in the area. When I was coordinating our move, I spoke to one of their employees on the phone about move out procedures, and she said it was fine to fill out the 30 days notice form, scan it into my computer and e-mail it to her. I did that a month ago, but then I got a phone call from them saying that I needed to pay another whole month's rent because they "never received a 30 days notice" from me. But I should have expected as much from them because I have learned over the last year and a half that they have SERIOUS communications issues. They are high if they think they're getting another month's rent from me--I will not be punished because they can't do their jobs. truly nightmarish experience 6/7/2011

I beg you not to rent from these people. We are military and when we moved to the area from northern NC there was a mistake with our orders so we were rushed into signing a lease. I wish we had been able to find a better place that would allow our large breed dogs. Anyway remi has been terrible to us right from the start. Like the other reviewers, they were nice and helpful right up until we signed a lease, and then things went downhill. They called me on the very day we were moving in (the uhaul was packed, our current lease terminated) and told us we couldn't move into the new house because it didn't pass their inspection. Of course I was livid and remi could or would not find us a suitable alternative. In desperation we had to rent a temp/vacation home that was $750/wk for one week, then we said we were moving in if they couldn't find us something else. When we first rented they were really nice and answered all of our questions. Now that we have lived in our apartment for over 8 months now, we have never once had contact with the home owner. We were told that after our 6 month inspection we would be in contact with someone to come fix a few wear and tear issues and no one ever showed up. We were also told that if we had a good review on the inspection we could get a pet, now they're saying we can't get one without hearing from the owner of the property. I just don't understand how a property management company can (A) not repair the things they say they will and (B) not get ahold of the person I am paying to rent from... I don't know how it is at other management companies, but I can't wait to find out! more

I have mixed feelings about this company. The staff was very nice and accomodating at first.. but I also got bad advice on where to live when I knew nothing of this area. I was not happy with where we lived. We had a child, and a baby on the way with a deployable husband. It was definately not ideal. When my husband was deploying I had him take his orders in so that way we could cancel our lease and they "never received his orders" even though he handed them to them and they tried to tell me my husband was lying to me so that right there made them lose major points in my book. more
