Best

i went there the weekend before the hurricane i had so much fun the guys there was freakin hott the drinks there were pretty good the employees was sweet nice the men at the door ...

Worst

Razoo is packed with cheesy tourists who think that Mardi Gras is a year round event. The drinks are overpriced and watered down (like every other bar on Bourbon's lower 6 blocks...

Wow...is it 1930? 5/28/2009

IS it 1930? Because I thought that a black person could go out to a bar and hang out with friends and NOT get drama from the front door staff. First, even though I had just watched 7 white guys in baggy clothes and backwards caps walk in the door, somehow my "Lucky Charms" hat and flare leg blue jeans and black boots weren't part of the dress code. After that stupidity ended and I was let in, we walked up to the bartender. Now I tried to get her attention for 10 minutes and while she waited on two different groups of white females who had come to the bar after me, she finally deigned me worthy of her attention. I got $35 worth of drinks, gave her a hundred dollar bill and she gave me back $30. I looked at her as if she had lost her mind and said "I handed you a hundred" she said, and I qoute, "You gave me forty" so after they went and got a manager "realized" that I had indeed given her a $100 bill, I got back the appropriate change and didn't tip. We stayed for maybe another 20 minutes, during which time I was just stunned that people were acting like this in this day and age. We left and went to another club (Bourbon Pub) and had an AMAZING time!!! Later I heard the story of the black college student was choked to death by memebers of thier door staff and had I known, I would have never darkened that doorstep. My previous job was as a promoter for clubs in Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. I can safely say this has never happened to me anywhere. Clubs are hard to get into, maybe the drinks are watered down but for the most part I enjoy clubbing. Not Razzoo. Ever again. Pros: no cover (and that one star is for having no cover) Cons: the door staff. the bartenders. pretty much the whole mess. more

DON'T GO!!!!! 4/3/2008

You'll never know if you go what will happen to you. Especially if one of the not so friendly guys at the door, decides he doesn't like you. You can read more for yourself on nola dot com. Pros: None Cons: Service to Patrons is horrible more

Count Your Change 1/3/2008

Fun place with good drink prices but count your change. On my 12/31/07 the bartender failed to return more than $10 change. We have visited this establishment several times over the past 8 years and this was our first complaint. Pros: Fun with 3 for 1 beer until 9 pm Cons: Some staff may not be honest more

Awesome Place!!! 6/9/2007

First time in NOLA for me and my best friend and I had a blast here, 3 for 1 drinks, friendly staff, and a band that made sure that everyone had a good time. Great place to party with a back patio with great atmosphere. Had alot of fun getting shots from Natalya (awesomely gorgeous and great personality) , she was definately the nicest lady on Bourbon Street. If you wanna have a great time this is one of the best places to go.Look forward to going back. Pros: Great drink specials, great atmosphere, Natalya Cons: You hate to leave ;-) more

fun place to go dancing and people watch 5/8/2007

everytime i am in new orleans for jazzfest, i always stop by razzoo at least 5 times that weekend. it is just such a blast to dance to the music. it does get crazy crowded late at night but the music is bumpin and the deejays are pretty fun. early in the day, although it is not as crowded, the music is still pretty good. of course, one of the things i enjoy is when people go on stage to do crazy stuff. it never ceases to amuse me because someone is almost always too drunk and doing something funny. if you want to get away from the crowded dancefloor, the back area has tables to just chill (although it does get crowded there too). the drinks are cheap, although a bit watered down. but hey, you get what you pay for. that being said, i definitely recommend razzoo!!! more

3for1 6/2/2006

Yea, I used to live in New Orleans and worked on Conti @ Oceana Bar & Grill (great food)! When I'd get out of work Id head over toRazzoo, it has a fun staff that serve those 3-4-1's @ happy hour. I've met other Nawlins lovers on other travels and I ask them, "What's your favorite bar?" THOSE THAT PARTY ALWAYS SAY, "RAZZOO!" w/o a pause. The outside patio is my favorite as well as the freakshow that might go on on the dancefloor! There's similiar bars to Razzoo that will try to get you lured in, but Razzoo is where it's at FOLKS! Pros: prices, staff, spacious Cons: standing room mostly more

I love it =o) 9/10/2005

I live is Baton Rouge and go here every Mardi Gras. I have been to other bars on Bourbon and ALWAYS come back... And the bleau fire in back need I say more !!!! Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: NOTHING more

Halloween Blast 10/31/2004

Just got back from Halloween in New Orleans. I have to say that I had the Best time at Razzoo. the DJ spun up some great music and the MC's were just awesome. If you are everon Bourbon Street take the time to stop here and have a little fun. Pros: Music, Dancing, Shots more

So Fun 3/11/2004

My first time in N'awlins as a big kid...Had the best time. Razzoo's is definitely the best bar on Burbon...the MC's make the place. Crowd is fun and the staff is very friendly. I can't wait to come back and visit! more

AWESOME! 1/17/2004

Just got back from N'awlins last night, and I have to say that it was, without a doubt, the best trip I've taken down there! My sister and I went to Razoo's around 9PM, and the place was not too crowded, but by 10:30PM, you could hardly move on the dance floor. Close quarters, however, didn't matter one bit. We danced until we couldn't dance anymore! The DJ's and bartenders were AWESOME, but the people we met there were even better! Thanks Anthony for looking out for me! I had fun! Pros: Service, Dancing, People more

Good Time 8/5/2003

I've been to New Orleans quite a few times and I go to Razzoo every time. The music is fun (although the dance floor is always way too crowded) and the service is pretty good. It's a bit of a meat market, so if you're looking to hook up it's a great place to be. It's very crowded inside, but the courtyard is great and easy to get beers and $2 test tube shots. Also, awesome drink specials during the day (as with the rest of Bourbon Street) and it's nice to sit out in the sun. Not for the weary who aren't prepared to party!! Pros: Good Music, Great Courtyard Cons: Crowded more

great place 4/18/2003

i recently was in new orleans and razzoo's was by far the most happening place on bourbon street. the live dj's were great and kept the crowd entertained and the drink specials(3 for 1) were unbelievable. i can not wait to go back to new orleans and hit razzoo's again. my 52 yr old mother was with me and she enjoyed the music and dj's just as much if not more than i did( i'm 22). Definately go there!!! Pros: drink specials, variety of music, live dj's Cons: packed, small rest room more

Razzoo's sucks 1/24/2003

It is an insult on New Orleans. Only tourists and 17 year olds go to Razzoo's. Why isn't Grit's incuded Cons: location, trashy more

Texas Bachelorette Party! 1/6/2003

Let's just say for a group of 10 females from Texas, on a trip for a bachelorette party, this was the place where we started and ended our days/nights. The employees were great and made us feel very welcome...plus who can beat 3 for 1 specials! We'll be visiting a lot more often...if they can handle us. Pros: Great Happy Hour, Entertaining Workers, Good Music more

Cheesy tourist only! 9/21/2002

Razoo is packed with cheesy tourists who think that Mardi Gras is a year round event. The drinks are overpriced and watered down (like every other bar on Bourbon's lower 6 blocks), but they do have good happy hour specials. more

Razzoo's--My 2nd home!! 9/17/2002

Razzoo's is the best club/bar on Bourbon!! I celebrated my 21st b-day there and Ive have been there every weekend for the past 6 weeks until they pushed me out the door. You'll meet people from any state or country that you name, GUARANTEED. Razzoo's has the best drinks, shots, music and cutest bouncers....especially the blonde one standing at the door (he knows who he is). I WILL be there again, probably this weekend...hehe. Pros: Cute/sweet bouncers, 3-for-1, Never empty Cons: Not open 24 hrs...heh more

Best Dance Club on Bourbon!!!!! 8/14/2002

I lived in New Orleans for 3 months, and Razzoo's NEVER got boring. Best place to party in the quarter! Razzoo's plays great music, and the guys singing onstage are funny as well as talented, and keep the party going all night long. A night on Bourbon Street wouldn't be complete without stopping here...and once you stop...I GUARANTEE you'll stay!!! Pros: great music, beautiful people, good drinks Cons: no cons, nothing bad, none - it's perfect!! more

Happening 8/13/2002

Probably the most happening club when I was in the area. Live emcee, large crowd and an awesome fire fountain in the back. more

"The Joint" 8/8/2002

I am from a small town in Louisiana (about 2 hours from New Orleans) and I only come to Razzoo's for the Bayou Classic. It is the spot for the college kids and the out of town guests. The first question when they all arrive is where is the happening spot around here? Of course, it's Razzoo's. Pros: good drinks, good musice Cons: parking, crowded more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Razzoo is ground zero for flocks of 20- and 30-somethings looking for a rousing good time in the French Quarter. Crowds pour in from the street day and night--this bar is one of the first to fill and last to empty as Bourbon Street ebbs and flows. There's nothing mellow about this establishment, which attracts beaded tourists and revved-up locals with high energy and a touch of rowdiness. The wild herd onto the dance floor to move to karaoke until one of two house cover bands performs until close.

    The Draw
Three bars offer typical well and call drinks, as well as specialty concoctions like hurricanes, at tourist prices. Groups gather around the flaming fountain or the beer tubs in the back patio to gain a little more personal space. Human traffic jams, which are not always unappealing, in the club's front section are a common occurrence.
