I went to Ray's for the first time last November. Though the food was just ok, not the way it sounds on the menu, the service was not very good at all. After a long wait, even w...

The setting put you immediately at ease with the shade trees and the river in the background. The entry way and foyer were appealing, we were greated nicely by the host and hostess, and were seated promptly. The waite staff were pleasant and friendly, knew the menu and were very helpful in when we needed guidance. The waite staff attended to our needs throughout the evening, made sure we were happy with our meals and drinks, and did that without being a pest or bothersome. The food was prepared as ordered and the presentaion was very appealing. Every dish was hot but not so hot you could not eat it. We were all well pleased with the entire evening. Pros: location, plenty of parking, not too crowded Cons: fill water often more

best seafood at Marietta 11/13/2002

The food is good and the service is excellent. Nothing to complain. Pros: good food, good service Cons: crowded more

I'd give it an A- 8/17/2002

This is the place is you want a wide variety of a great tasting weekend brunch! Just make sure you get there early enough to avoid a long wait time. I'd tried to visit for brunch about 3 times. The third time was a charm, because there was finally not a long wait. Well, once I experienced the atmosphere and the food, I could understand why it was so crowded all the time. The variety of food was excellent, as well as the taste. The price is little expensive if you don't plan to eat a lot (it's all you can eat brunch). I've been wanting to eat there again since I left! Pros: variety of food, great decor, the river in back Cons: crowded most times, pricey 4 lite eaters more

  • The Scene
This expansive, comfortable space, with its low ceilings and lodge appeal, plays better in the evening (when there's live jazz in the bar) than during the day. Nonetheless, all...
