Boyfriend and I wandered in here one night when we were looking for some live music. There was a jazz band jamming along, and we sat for a bit at the bar. The bartender was awesome, jumping around to the music. Had a couple of small abitas, and saw some people drinking HUGE beers, which we then ordered. These were HUGE -- 32 ounces of beer -- for only 5 bucks each. What a deal. The band was great. There was a trumpeter in a suit, and he was full of energy. Then this old guy, like 90 something, gets up and sings this one song. We could barely understand him cause he was so old, but lemme tell you it was awesome. There were a bunch of college kids dancing, which was fine. They made it seem like a super informal place, which was nice. It was completely unpretentious.
Pros: cheap beer, live music
Cons: there was a hole in the floor, the bathrooms were awful.
