My girlfriend and I were going to head up to Greenpoint in search of a nice down-to-earth Polish restaurant when we stumbled on this little gem on Bedford ave, near 10th st. Everything was fresh, hot and exactly what it is meant to taste like. If Plato could imagine an idealized Polish sausage, it could not have tasted much different than the one served up here. Couple that with tall glass of Zywiec beer and you've got yourself a heck of a night. I'd recommend the Polish platter if you're not familiar with the cuisine. It says on the menu you get one of ""all of the above"" which includes beef liver and some random pig part, but in reality it doesn't. It's a good sized plate that slaps together some of their more mainstream dishes (kraut, kielbasa, beets and the like). At less than $15 a person including drink and tip, it's definitely worth the trip.
Pros: Casual, quick, friendly, dern good food for a good dern price
Cons: so-so ambience, took a while to get the check
