Yum! 4/24/2010

My wife and I went to Rasham Restaurant for the first time last night and were very pleased by the quality and taste of the food, as well as the excellent service. The Vegetable Samosas were amazing, as was the Tikka Boti Kebab (tandoor chicken). The Goat Biryani (basmatie rice) was tasty, but the cut of goat was a little bony for our liking. The Naan was very large; one order plenty for two people. We enjoyed the Raisin & Almond Naan. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean and nice, but sparse. It was clearly family-friendly, as there were several other diners there with young children. Prices were very affordable; most dishes in the $7-9 range; a few $10-12. Rasham Restaurant is a great find; we'll definitely go back! Pros: Great food; great service Cons: Ambiance somewhat lacking more

Indian waitresses being too friendly with guys 1/10/2010

I go to Rasham once a while. I never pay too much attention to girls working there, especially, if they are young, and wear kind of sexy dress to get attention from men. I only care about the quality of the food, and quality of the food there is great. Some Pakistani and Indian men start talking to girls working there hoping to have relationship with those girls. Sometimes, they get lucky. In NY city, a Bangladeshi girl, working at a Pakistani restaurant, who was illegal, agreed to move in with a Pakistani man, who claimed to be a US citizen, hoping he would marry her and she would get green card. That Pakistani man, a taxi driver, lived with four other roomates, who were all taxi drivers, and they themselves were all illegal. I heard that they all just used her for cooking, cleaning and fun time at night, and after few weeks, she herself moved out. There was an Afghan Muslim young and beautiful girl worked at a Pakistani restaurant, as a waitress. She told me she recently arrived from Afghanistan on a student visa. Later, I learned that she made dozens of male friends while working there. I heard the owner of that restaurant fired her because his restaurant was earning a bad reputation because of her being too friendly and too personal with so many guys. Even after she left, the store owner received dozens of phone calls from Pakistani and Indian men, asking him where to find her because she promised to marry them. (Ofcourse she was fooling all of them just to get big tips). Pros: Delicious food with great quality Cons: Sometimes waitress is a little pushy and rushes me to pay. more

Good Tandoori dishes 3/9/2009

This seems to be the recurring theme excellent tandoori dishes BUT lousy service, I read all the reviews they are all correct. So if you are looking for Succulent kabaabs and tikka by all means go there but be prepared for absolutely worse service more

Rasham ... 10/24/2008

The food is nice, environment is mellow, silent & simple/ Pros: Good Pakistani Cuisine Cons: Very poor service. Dont go expecting anything but a hey, what is ur order...after long wait time. more

Nice Seekh kebabs!!! 9/19/2008

Probably the best Pakistani food in the northeast and that includes New York. Service is very basic and people in the know get stuff from the counter themselves. The samosas to start off with are nice whether veg or meat. Most meat dishes especially the barbecue fare are excellent. The kebabs remind one of any nice joint like Clifton, Zakir or Punjab tikka in Lahore. For chicken tikka they seem to have taken some influence from Indian restaurants in using that red dye which I don't care for but the taste is authentic nonetheless. Pros: Great food, authentic taste Cons: Lack of cohesive service more

Great tasing food and consistent quality. 4/26/2008

I have dined at the Rasham restaurant with my family quite frequently over the past year or so and am very pleased with the great food and the friendly service. Their ""naan"", ""boneless chicken tikka"" and ""kababs"" are the best. Their ""chicken jalfarezi"" is also excellent. The restaurant tries to create a home-like environment and the prices are very very reasonable. Pros: Great tasting food and consistent quality. more

Rasham Restaurant - Great food AND great service 11/30/2007

Perhaps ankush2kn has gone on the wrong nights - or we've gone on the right ones (generally Friday). We've had wonderful service. Very nice waitress who helped us choose a variety of great dishes to try. We will definitely return. Pros: wonderful food; wonderful waitress more

worst service ever! Its a pity, the food is good. 10/27/2007

I've been to Rasham 5 times before tonight. It has always been slow in serving and general service. But tonight they broke my patience and it prompted me to write this review. Pros: taste of food Cons: service on all respects more
