Breach of Contract 6/25/2010

I rented the Community Center for my daughters Open House and they called me the day before saying that I couldn't use the room because the basement flooded. They knew this at 10 in the morning and waited until 3 to call me. It wasn't even the manager Jennifer Star would called either she hid behind one of her staff. I paid for a private room with a kitchen and ended up with it being moved to the Health Club. Upon arriving at 10 in the morning I found out that it would be in the lobby and had no access to the kitchen, BUT I PAID FOR A KITCHEN. We also had to put up with residents coming walking through to the pool and making sure they didn't interupt my daughter party. They offered my nothing for this inconvenience but sure made me understand not to forget the $100 deposit. I have tried calling Jennifer Star, contacted the Regional Manager and still no response. I will be contacting Corporate and if no response from them, I will file a lawsuit for Breach of Contract. Stay as far more

Ramblewood is HORRIBLE 10/25/2007

I have never been so insulted in my life. They completely took advantage of me and ripped me off, once they found out I was not renewing. They could not have been nicer when they were trying to get me to renew. They do not care about anyone and are total money hungry scums. WARNING: IF YOU WANT TO MOVE OUT, GIVE THEM A WRITTEN NOTICE AT LEAST 60 DAYS BEFORE YOUR LEASE ENDS. ANY LATER THAN THAT AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THEM ONE MONTH'S RENT AS A ""LATE NOTICE FEE."" Please, do not repeat my mistake. Even though 2 of their employees told me it was okay to give notice 30 days before, the management said they don't care because it's in the lease. I had my brother-in-law (an attorney) read it and he said even though it's bullsh!t it would hold up. They have ZERO compassion for you once you sign. And even less (if that's possible) once you terminate. They offer no incentive for renewing (that's not true, there was 4 car wash coupons available, which is more of an insult then an incentive) and will raise your rent everytime you are up for renewal. Two things I wanted: gym or workout center, washer/dryer. Both were promised to me (""oh yeah, you get a free membership to the health club""... true, but only for 3 months and after that it's about $80/mo) Then they said I could rent a w/d for $25/mo. Great! Oh, wait, you can rent the hook ups for $25/mo and the washer/dryer for $35. Oh wait, turns out my apartment didn't HAVE w/d hookups. ""Oh, maintenance will install them""... ""oh, we don't do that any more."" Thanks for getting me to sign the lease and then dicking me around forever and not following through! The WORST rental experience I've ever had. I paid $600 in deposits, had zero damage to the apartment, and still ended up owing them another $258 for giving them my move out notice 30 days before my lease ended, which is when their employees told me to have it in by!!! Horrible scammers. Nicely done though. They got me to fall for it. Pros: large closets Cons: old, plain, horrible management, very misleading marketing... SHADY more

Ever heard of constructive eviction? 10/14/2006

The staff at Ramblewood allowed my nosy neighbor to make allegations against me without considering my defense to the point where I was harassed by the office manager and then arrived home one day to find an eviction notice taped to my door.\r \r Don't waste your time or money on this place. If you do sign a lease, make friends with a good lawyer. more

You get what you pay for 11/2/2005

Ramblewood Apartments are decent apartments. Their monthly rate are very moderately priced but you know the saying -- You Get What You Pay For -- which is exactly true with Ramblewood. It's a large apartment complex with most of the tenants being upper teens/low twenties or young couples with small children. Some of the positives are: they have many floor plans to chose from, large fitness center that is available to all residents at a monthly fee, and covered carports. Some of the negatives are: older buildings in need of some updating, the age range of many of the tenants, and because it's so large it's easy to lost in the complex due to the buildings all looking the same. more
