Great Location, wonderful facility, dedicated staff 2/6/2012

We began using Raleigh Nursery School last year and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the staff and facility. I am sorry that a previous reviewer had a poor experience, but that was a long time ago. The facility is newer, they are a 5 star preschool, and the staff are very dedicated to the children. The staff are very aware of the children's developmental, social, emotional, and physical needs. The site is VERY secure with a double entry door in which you can open the outside door yet have to ring a bell to enter into the inside door (which stays locked). Thus any parent is confident that his/her child will be safe here from strangers who may come up to the building. It is also in a very safe neighborhood behind Peace College. Brenda, the owner, is a wonderful woman who has an obvious commitment to children and families in the community. more

Great Location/Mediocre Service 4/14/2008

We moved to the area in 2006 and needed childcare in a hurry. Raleigh Nursery had openings and a new building. The location was very convenient and the facility had a 5-star rating from the State so we enrolled our son who was 1 year old at the time. \r \r Less than two years later we left Raleigh Nursery. We liked many of the teachers but the Director was out-of-touch with both parents and teachers. She insisted none of the illnesses that our son contracted during his stay there-and there were many- were due to conditions at the school. We had one incident where a parent reported our child was struck by a staff member that turned into a he-said, she-said. I thought the school handled the situation ok but the incident was troubling. \r \r The shool's main clients are voucher-children, not the fee-paying parents. Bottom line, don't expect good customer service from the director. more
