I spoke to Rafael a week ago, and he told me to call him Saturday morning (today), and he would pick up my damaged table that same day. I agreed, and when I called, he told me he couldn't do it. He said ""maybe tomorrow some time."" When I tried to get out of him whether this was a sure thing, he started to talk about Monday. He already knew I couldn't be available on the weekdays, so I reviewed that with him. Then he starts to launch into how he can't pick up or deliver on weekends, anyway, because most NYC buildings don't allow it. This is a very small kitchen table, and that just doesn't apply, so I asked him to stick with the issue of our timeline, not New York City's. Then he starts to go off on me on how he isn't like the drycleaner who will come whenever I call him. I was disgusted that he said that. I reminded him that we made a plan a week ago for me to call and arrange a same day pick up. So then he yells something indescernible and hangs up on me. I'm sure his business is not that successful, because obviously, he doesn't know the first thing about having one.
