Quality Body Shop

Larry and Rickie Thomison, the owners of Quality are the second-generation owners of Quality Body Shop. The shop was started in 1975 by their dad Bill Thomison, who had worked in the industry since the 1950’s. Bill ran the front office of the shop, while Larry did the bodywork, and Rickie did all of the refinishing. When the shop was started Bill had a vision to specialize in only finer European cars mainly Bmw and Mercedes. During this time Quality was the Bmw warranty repair station for body and refinish work in the Austin area. In the late 1980’s Larry and Rickie took over the shop from their dad and began to expand their horizons by expanding their business to include work on Asian and domestic vehicles. Satisfying the needs of any customer that came in the shop was priority to Larry and Rickie regardless of make or model. In the early 1990’s Larry and Rickie both attended Bmw Technical School in Montvale, NJ. Larry became certified for the body repair part of the program and Rickie became certified for the refinish side. Both further expanding their knowledge into Bmw repairs. During this same time period Larry and Rickie expanded the business by moving to a larger location where they currently reside today. Today Larry and Rickie are still here and have added a third generation to their company by beginning to teach Daniel Thomison the way of the business. They have also evolved as time has gone on by adding state of the art Car-o-Liner computerized measuring systems to ensure your vehicles chassis is put back to pre-accident measurements. They have also adapted to using the most ecologically friendly paint materials in the industry, the first to do so in the state of Texas.
