How many times does it take to make my visit right 12/30/2011

I have been to this place four times. During one visit, I came in..there were few customers , but most of the tables were still filled with dirty dishes. On my last visit, Dec. 30, 2011, the waitress seated us. There were no other customers there. NO she didn't take a drink order at first and instead disappeared. After ten minutes, I found her with other waiteresses playing around in the back room. She did'nt apologize and was very stupid. I thought , this place has more than once time wasted my time..do I give in for quality of food or the poor sevice..I can make almost everything on their menu at home. more

Waiter was a dick 3/8/2010

I don't really know how else to say it. He was condescending every time I asked a question. more

Only tried the pizza 9/29/2009

I went to Puccini's in 2008 with a friend of mine, not knowing what to expect. I thought the overall setup of the restaurant was very nice, especially the red/white tablecloth. Unfortunately, they were made of plastic, and I think investing in real cloth tablecloths might do a lot of good - but that's understandable. I only tried the pizza, while my friend had something else I just can't remember. I recall the crust was crisp and had a healthy snap to it, it came to us hot, and the sauce and cheese made a good flavor together. Sometimes a pizzeria will do one right but ruin the other one and it kills the whole pie. It tasted like good Italian, as far as I was concerned. I wish they would just open up near central/south Indianapolis. Pros: Quality crust, amazing sauce and cheese Cons: Only on the North side of town more

One of my top five for 10+ years! 12/7/2008

I've been to three Puccini's and this one is still my favorite. I always look at the menu, but wind up getting a paparazzi with added bacon & black olives because it has great cheeses on it. My parents usually go for the King of Hearts (artichoke and capers) and my sister the Bar 20 (chicken, onions, bbq sauce). This place has been a consistent favorite of my family for years. Pros: Great pizza, great staff Cons: Busy more

Can't beat Puccini's Pizza 12/7/2008

I love Puccini's - I'm a little partial though as paychecks from Puccini's helped put me through school - but the food is just great. Favorite pizza - The Campfire, no smoked sausage, add chorizo. An excellent pizza in the winter. Their salads and pastas are also pretty darn good. Pros: Great Food, Atmosphere, and Staff Cons: A little pricey for pizza in Indy more

I will go back and try pizza 10/14/2008

We went to Puccini's Smiling Teeth the other night to celebrate a birthday. There were eight of us in the party and they had a table available to accommodate us. I was very surprised by how small the dining room was. It was very cozy and I never found our group trying to talk over other customers. The service was just ok, and I found myself without a drink on two different occasions. Our server seemed a little stressed over having such a big party. Everyone ordered something different from the menu, and we all took turns trying each others dishes. I ordered the Chicken Marsala. I was a little disappointed by my dish. The menu stated that it came with two chicken breasts and was served over roasted potatoes. When I got it, I notices that it was in fact just one chicken breast cut in half, and my potatoes were cooked to almost nothing. The Marsala sauce was very good, however, and I found myself using my bread to scoop the rest of it up. I didn't care for my mother's dish, some kind of lemon pasta with chicken and capers, but I am not a fan of capers anyway. My father had the ravioli, which was very good and had a good seasoning to the meat. My uncle ordered a pizza, and it was very good also. Not too much cheese (some places overdo it), a perfect amount of sauce, and generous toppings. When I go back I will definitely order pizza. Pros: nice atmosphere, pizza, bread Cons: small portions, service more

Yum 11/9/2005

My husband and I have tried a number of items. All delicious! My favorite is the 86th St. Pie, the Calzones, salads, bruchini, and the low carb chicken dish they had some time back. We're now on the west side, and wish there was one there! It's all good. more

Great Experience 6/4/2004

The service was great and personable. The waitress not only took our order but took the time to aquint us with the restaurant and the difference between the pizzas since this was our first time there. All the ingredients looked and tasted fresh and we got our food in good time, not to rushed and not to much of a wait. Pros: Value, fresh ingredients, good location more

Bad Crust 10/19/2003

I have to say my opinion of Puccini's has changed for the worst. In the past their pizza was the best in the City, but it has changed. I guess to cut their costs and make a higher profit they have changed their ""dough"" recipe/preparation. Anyone who knows pizza knows that the dough is ""key"" to taste and they ""blew it"". more

Good family pizza 1/13/2003

This is a really good pizza place. Although they have other items, stick to their pizza! I used to order pasta, which is my favorite, but their pasta is nothing special. Try their Razarback (Smoke sausage, bacon, etc.)! It is a gourmet style meat (hog) lover's dream! Yummmm... more

Superior Product 11/27/2002

Puccini's has the best sauce, the correct portions of onions etc. and employees that seem to care. more

Excellent Pizza 11/1/2002

Puccini's is one of my top two pizza places. As luck would have it, they are all located on the north side of Indy....sure wish they'd bring their quality pizza with the good service south. Pros: Fast, Quality, Nice atmosphere Cons: when busy really busy, Not south more

...and afterwards, head to Ben & Jerry's 10/31/2002

Something to leave home over...that's because they don't deliver. This place is great for traditional pizza lovers! Weird ambiance...and that might be a good thing. Complaint: Beer could be colder. more

My personal date place 10/24/2002

A nice place to go for a first date. Nice quiet cozy atmosphere and everyone keeps to themselves. Food is excellent and unique with large portions but it's price is outstanding. 2 entrees with an appetizer and i can skate out without spending over $25. more

Excellent 10/5/2002

One of my favorate places for Pizza, Calzone, pasta. Good Greek salad. Great lunch special (pizza, salad, drink) My family frequents Puccini's and have been to 4 locations on the North side many many times. Quality is very good and consistant. Pros: Good quality food, good value/price, Consistant more

My Pie in the Southern Sky 8/13/2002

Puccini's pizza have that unique Euoropian flavor that keeps you comming back for more week after week. Their pizza dough would be a treat just by itself with your favorite dipping sauce. It reminds me of a pizzaria that an old Europian couple had in my hometown years ago. Their pizza was so good you became a pizza addict after your first slice. more

This is quality pizza! 7/26/2002

It's not your typical Pizza 7/21/2002
