Over rated 5/20/2009

While Pub and Kitchen is much cleaner and more ascetically pleasing than Chaucers, the food is over-priced and there are not many options. It is not much different than other Rittenhouse hang outs especially on Friday and Saturday. There are also a few very rude bartenders. Pros: Food is OK Cons: Over priced, lacking beer selection, rude bar staff more

Not really a neighborhood hangout for me any longer... 5/15/2009

This place has gone Center City ""chic"" and the prices -- and service -- reflect the attitude. Pricey bar food that's good but I don't really get the extreme hype, and only the ""beautiful people"" get the warm treatment. I know it was nothing great, but for a neighborhood hangout I miss Chaucers. Pros: attractive bar Cons: price, attitude more

Editorial

  • Is it a neighborhood bar? Is it a gastropub? Or is it a Rittenhouse Square destination? Yes, yes and yes. This cozy corner tavern is perhaps the neighborhood's only everybody-knows-your name spot...
