Worst dentist ive ever been to 12/14/2011

Id give no stars if I could. Dr Pham is a young and uneducated dentist. This is her first practice that her rich family helped her start right out of college a few years ago. She has no people skills, no communcation skills, and does sloppy work. Ive had to go back 3 times to fix a filling she did. The first time I had it fall out 20 mins after I left her office while I was getting lunch next door to her office. I went back to have her look at it and they locked up after me. When the staff came to the door they said i had to call back on Monday to have the filling looked at, even though they knew I was there 20 mins ago!!!! i was in pain with a hole in my tooth all weekend!!!! She has no business being a dentist and if she were working at an office that wasnt hers, she would have been fired. Because she works for herself and owns her own practice, there is no one to regulate what she does. DO NOT GO HERE!!! more

Run..don't walk...away from this dental practice! 8/3/2011

a dentist with a HORRIBLE personality and no ability to communicatie with patients - poor follow through and leaves you in the dark holding the bill. a cavity being filled turned out to cause me incredible pain in my tooth after getting work done here - you'd think the fancy office and modern equipment would make up for a bad experience, but it all boils down to the person and the way they conduct themselves and business. I'd rather see a dentist that has integrity and LIKES their patients in an office with a less modern office than this one! more

Worst dentist on the planet, in my opinion 8/3/2011

TAKE MY ADVICE: DO NOT SEE THIS DENTIST! 10/20/2010

TAKE MY ADVICE: DO NOT SEE THIS DENTIST! I had a change of insurance and had to leave a most wonderful dentist. So my insurance provider led me to Progressive Dental Arts. FIrst off I felt like I was going to a sales-pitch versus a dentist appointment. I have had braces and such white teeth that denists have turned down requests for me to whiten my teeth. All I wanted was a routine cleaning and suddenly Dr. Pham and her staff are trying to ""Upsell"" me on teeth whiting, straitening and more. I said no graciously - I told the staff I was on a budget and despite the ""attractive payment plans"" they were waving before me, I did not need the suggested services nor could I AFFORD THEM.* * Remember me telling them this as the story goes on...it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I have a gagging problem and a small mouth, and told the xray tech/dental assistant this upon my first visit. I've had what I think to be over 30 xrays taken over my lifetime of my mouth, and my last dentist had it down to an art. It became clear to me that Dr. Pham's staff was inexperienced. After many fits and starts, and painful (for me), awkward attempts at inserting plates into my mouth, a task that should have been painless and brief took a damn, painful, unprofessional long time. It became clear that at my expense, Dr. Pham's staff was being trained. Glad I could help. But wait...it gets better. I am told that I have some cavities and fillings that need replacing. I am surprised since I just had a once-over by my previous dentist just 6 months before, and I religiously went to my dentist check-ups...but I agreed to get the bare minimum done - again emphasizing that I was on a budget and unable to do anything crazy (the sales pitches for cosmetic stuff never ceased). I make an appointment to get this work done, then a week later go in for the cavity/fillings work. I am not the expert here, so I rely on Dr. Pham to know what she's doing so I am confident at this point as I sit in the dentist's chair. I pay my office visit co-pay, smile as I leave and return home. Then I look at my teeth. Egads! She changed out my fillings for the cosmetic veneer/non-metal type. So I began to wonder...did I need these changed? Did I have cavities? Then I began to feel pain in the area she had worked on a few days later. I developed a sensitivity to cold in that area and intense pain. I called the office to cancel my appointment so that I could get to the bottom of it. I asked for Dr. Pham to personally call me to explain just what I had done, and to explain the pricely cosmetic choice she had made for me without my knowledge. No call. I called again and left the good Dr. another message. No call. I did get a bill for the cosmetic procedures and a $50 fine for not canceling the appointment I canceled. I am in SHOCK that this woman can practice dentistry like this. It is malpractice. I also think she did a horrible job. I have never had pain like this before, and I've been on top of my teeth my whole life with preventative care. She and her office are really great at charging you money for things you don't need and sending bogus bills (and even threatening creditor action), but can't return a lousy couple of phone calls or answer the basic question: why on Earth did you give me an expensive cosmetic treatment I did not want or ask for, leave me with tooth pain, and expect me to happily pay you? Dr. Pham claims I knew what I was getting done because she told me I was getting a ""composite"" and signed a consent form. There was a price quote for Invisilign Braces on the same form. Before signing, I told her that I did not want braces or anything ""cosmetic"" done - so I was reluctant to sign. I was told that signing the form did not mean I was obligated to do anything cosmetic. The office just wanted to ensure I knew what options were available to me and that I was aware of pricing. I said, ""ok,"" then signed the form. more
