The place is a converted Burger King -- and it's dirty inside and hasn't been fully converted. You're still inside a Burger King that looks half finished. For example, the floor tiles were repaired where the tables were removed and they look...bad. This is just one example of how little effort this vet and his staff (wife) really put into their place of business and their practice. Come on folks, tile the floors, fix the ceilings, remove all that weird empty shelving in the arboretum area. I thought for years the place was abandoned because roof tiles were falling off the building. I ended up there when there was an emergency with a cat I was fostering and needed someone on my way to work so I was willing to give them a chance. They did take good care of my cat -- along with a huge bill. They put the wrong sex on my dog's rabies certificate and then basically refused to give me a new one without paying a fee. They have missed 2 appointments (no one was at the clinic) and tried to blame *me* for being wrong -- and I almost fell for it except that my neighbors had the same experience. I brought a stray cat in who needed a dental cleaning (debatable) and was charged SO much, I about fell over. The final straw was something so unpleasant I won't type it out because it happened to my neighbor's dog while in their care. This is a husband and wife team and you feel almost like you're walking into their (dirty) house. It utterly lacks the feeling of a practice where you are part of the healthcare team caring for your animal. If you need help with your animal in the exam room, the wife will come and assist but then if anyone walks in to the clinic, they'll come looking for someone and practically join you in the room. With their pet. It's just weird. Luckily in these cases, their practice seems to be very slow so it's rare for anyone to walk in. There is a basic lack of professionalism and sanitary conditions. On the plus side, I do think the vet is talented, I just wish he had a cleaner clinic and more professionally trained help. I bet they'd be much busier. I actually feel bad for them but a little effort would go a long way to create a clean and effective clinic.
