This Company is owned by this guy, Dave Dolin, which is the most unprofessional person that I have ever met. We made a contract 2 years ago and we're still waiting for our air conditioning units. We paid this guy most of the money and he still has not met the terms of the contract. We were supposed to have two zones, he put a furnace and coil in basement and attic and only hooked up the basement furnace. We were supposed to have Trane units and he ended peice mealing what he did. He installed a Trane furnace (without variable speed we paid for a 15 SEER) and came to find out that what he installed does not work with the 15 SEER condenser. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! My ac went down in Aug. '08 during the hottest 2 weeks of summer. I had a 5 yr. warranty on the unit from manufacturer & a 3 yr. warranty on labor from Power Air. They finally got a guy out there after 1 week and it was diagnosed as a burnt compressor. After multiple calls to them, they finally got back to me & said they were having trouble getting the part . Fast forward to 3 weeks later, still w/ NO ac & a wife pregnant w/ twins @ the time & they stopped even returning my calls! I eventually called the manufacturer & got a name of a co. in the area to come & check things out. Well, they came the day after I called, diagnosed the problem & had a new part installed all within 1 week! Why couldn't Power Air do this you ask? Because they just blew us off & didn't even try to get that part! They had our money from the install & that was all they cared about! When I was shopping for a co. to do our install, I met the owner, Dave Dolin @ a home show in Secaucus & he was very nice & seemed knowledgeable. To their credit, they were there & installed the unit when they said they would. However, after that, they were pretty much done w/ us! I don't understand how you can build a co. w/ absolutely NO customer service in an industry that should have that as a # 1 priority! Their co. motto should be ""Take The Money & Run!"" Also, when I had the new co. come in to fix my ac, they pointed out several problems w/ the install that Power did, citing code violations as well as a dangerous electrical problem that I also had to have corrected. If people see their booth @ the next home show, they should head the other way! Again - if you are shopping for ac or heat, stay away from this bogus co., do not fall for all their false promises! I saw Power Air's profile on Google (written by Power Air) & they claim to have great customer service! I can attest, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE LIE!!! And, seeing the other reports on them from various people, I am not the only one to feel that way! Pros: Low price (beware!) Fast install ( they cut corners!) Cons: Customer service is non existant! more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WE HAD THEM INSTALL A BRAND NEW AIR AND HEAT SYSTEM. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH BOTH AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT. THEY SET UP SEVERAL APPOINTMENTS WITH ME. THEY NEVER SHOWED FOR THEM OR CALLED. I DID A SEARCH ON THEM THIS MORNING AND YOU SHOULD SEE ALL THE COMPLAINTS THEY HAVE AGAINST THEM!!! I WISH I HAD DONE THIS BEFORE I HIRED THEM. I AM POSTING A LETTER I SENT THEM ON THE RIPOFF SITE. I WILL BE DOING MY LEVEL BEST TO GIVE THEM THE KIND OF PUBLICITY THEY DESERVE. Cons: PROBLEMS WITH BOTH SYSTEMS. I met Dave Dolin, President of Power Air Systems at a Home Show in Secaucus NJ. He seemed 'so nice and trustworthy' -- DO NOT TRUST HIM!!! We unfortunately trusted him and wound up with 7 months of broken appointments & lies (with no courtesy calls - just lame excuses) - and a big mess that other companies did not want to touch! The little work that was done, was sloppy and incomplete. Two months ago, the President of the company wound up agreeing that their treatment toward us was awful and he promised us a full refund...however, I still have not received a dime back!!! This is the first time I have registered a compaint, but feel I must warn others to stay away from this company!!! Cons: No conscience - will steal your money - not professional or honorable! more

I agree with the other post. They were great at getting the system installed but once we had an issue, we couldn't get them back to save our lives. Every day they would call and say they were on the way and the next day we would call them and they'd say and emergency came up. They didn't even have the decency to tell us that they were cancelling. It took them 4 tries to get the system fixed and for it to stay fixed. Cons: Unreliable Idiots more

Power Air Systems is the worst vendor of any kind that I've ever dealt with. Our A/C went down in May and they did not get it working again until the middle of July after over 8 weeks and 6 trips to our house. In the end it was a simple freon leak but we are not sure whether they are just so incompetent that it took them 6 trips to find the leak or if they just created more problems each time they tried to fix it. Cons: Unresponsive, Unreliable and completely incompetent more

I used Power Air Systems of Ridgewood to install a Trane system and all of the ductwork. Unfortunately, one year after the system was installed, we're having major problems with the air handler and the condenser. We are having worse problems with getting a response from Dave and Power Air Systems. Pros: Decent Price Cons: Poor quality, reliability and horrible responsiveness. Cheap system that breaks and they don't responsd to fix it. more
