this place is horrible! a bartender gave me the WORST possible service imaginable. i left no tip and the crazy manager stopped me at the door and called me a piece of sh-t and told me to get the f--k out and never come back. i hope this place gets shut down. other than that the food is good if you enjoy waiting an hour and a half for a hamburger. the lowest score i can leave is 1 star, otherwise i would have left zero. Pros: looks like a nice restaurant from outside, but DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Cons: friendliness, attitude, customer service, order taking, the mgr. likes to yell at customers more

We are on vacation and are staying at the Newport Beachside Resort. We walked past Porterhouse and thought the atmosphere looked nice and the restaurant looked clean, plus it seemed pretty busy. We decided to go there for dinner and when we arrived maybe 6 or 7 tables were full. We had to wait over 5 minutes to even get a waitress or menus. Another 10 minutes for her to ask us what we wanted to drink. We waited another 10 minutes at least to get our drinks and then at least 45 min to get our food. After getting our food we asked for drink refills and ketchup. It took over 5 minutes to get ketchup so the food was cold by the time we got it. Then we had to proceed to get our own drinks because they were never brought to us. When we asked to speak to a manager, he was rude and very unaccomodating. He got frustrated with us and was waving his hands and being very short. We asked if he could at least get us our water and he said yes, and walked away. A bartender finally gave us our drinks and we sat back down. This was overall by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. It is one thing to have a bad waiter/waitress, but rude and unfriendly management is just unacceptable. I wish I felt there was something more to do to complain about this experience, but I will settle for trying to warn others against trying to dine here. more

Went there on a Monday night for a few drinks after traveling for 3+ hours. Appletinis were absolutely delicious, the scotch drinks were really ""doubles"". Services was a bit slow to start off with (one bartender), waitress was truly apologetic and keenly aware of taking care of us the rest of the night. Appetizers were better than most four star restaurants and most of all we were ordering at 3:00 am . The Acid Jazz playing in the background made us never want to leave. I love this place!!! Will find my way back to them whenever in Miami. more
