I just played this nice little course with my 10 year old nephew and my 89 year old grandfather. I am a 26 year old avid golfer. Although other reviews seem to emphasize the length and condition of the course as anything but championship quality, I would like to state that I have played every course in the region from facilities such as Galloway National, Seaview, and Blue Heron to Victor's Par Three and Hamilton Trails and I have yet to find a course that has greens in better condition. Pomona is a short course that utilizes every square inch and dollar earned to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere. There is not a better value for the price. The founder and first President of the Atlantic County Agricultural Association, as well as a major academic contributor to the Rutgers University Turf Management Program originally purchased the course in 1970. The aforementioned individual, Vernon Truitt, and his nephew and Rutgers Alum - Bruce Ritchie, transplanted over 100 trees on the course. Bruce and his nephew are making similar improvements. It's a true family business that each and every family member, employee, and patron takes pride in being part of.
