Pochi Tea Station - weird name, good tea 3/3/2006

I don't know what a "tea station" is, but Pochi is good at being one. I really like all the games they have there (I learned to play dominoes, among other games). Their drinks are really tasty, and it's a fun place to just hang out - cozy, upbeat music, lots of games, lots of people. Better than a bar, in my opinion: cheaper drinks, no hangovers, and quiet enough to actually hear the people you're talking to. Sugar high! more

Bubble Tea at its BEST 8/30/2005

If you like or LOVE bubble tea this is the place for you. Even if you don't love the bubbles...you can get fruit smoothies, slushies, and other misc finger foods. The people are friendly, and it's relatively inexpensive. Get a stamp card because you'll be coming back...the 11th one is free! One of the most important things about bubble tea is the quality of the ingredients...Pochi uses fresh everything which makes a HUGE difference...nobody likes stale tapioca balls. more

BUBBLE TEA!!! 8/30/2005

First off, I love the staff! They are so friendly and funny to talk to and they are really great about always remembering me! The selection is amazing and the prices are great! I always try new things when I am there, but I must admit avacado or red bean are absolutely fabulous! Add some bubs or pudding and it's a real treat! They are open late and don't mind if you play games, read magazines, or just enjoy the overally green walls and sweet asian music videos! more

This is one Seattle drink establishment that doesn't serve coffee 8/19/2005

When you think of what Seattleites drink its probably coffee. Starbucks,Starbucks, and more Starbucks. Starbucks is not just coffee, its an attitude as well. "Look at me! I'm at Starbucks drinking my double tall, non fat, half and half almond espresso latte smoothie. By the way, I just paid $4.50 for a cup of coffee." or something like that. Well Pochi is sort of the exact opposite. Pochi is fun. Pochi is definitely NOT pretentious. And most of Pochi's drinks are cold. And, oddly enough, their drinks sometimes come with little balls at the bottom of it. This is called Bubble Tea. Strange, I know. For those who are new to bubble tea, it originated in Asia and it started out as tea w/ milk with little tapioca balls at the bottom. However, here in the states it has sort of transformed into many variations. You can get the traditional bubble tea concoction. Or you can get like a frozen smoothie type of drink which is great for hot days. They also offer hot drinks but most don't get tapioca balls in that because they will melt. As for your "add-ins" for the bottom of the drink there is a huge variety of items now if you don't want tapioca balls. A few that I can think of are lychee jelly, pudding, and rainbow jelly. The environment at Pochi is definitely a young crowd. Loud Asian popmusic plays in the background. Groups of teenagers sit around talking, flirting, or playing games. It's definitely a fun, hip, environment. If you've never tried Pochi before I recommend you do. It's unlike anything you've ever had here. Oh and don't even bother using the word grande or venti here. There's only 1 size cup - and its big so drink up! more

gOOd place to hang out 8/11/2005

This place is famous for friends to meet each other and connect by lounging in the sofas, drinking bubble tea or playing games. It is crowded at most times with the music playing loudly and the place is quite small but it is refreshing to get some drink or small snack food in there. more
