Sandwich in a Pita 4/23/2006

This is like eating a subway sandwich in a pita. Except with more veggies and a few extra sauces. Basically, you go in and you order a pita and then you can ppile on whatever topings you want. They have the usual toppings here in addition to some other ones like hummus and chickpeas that are unique to this place. The food is good and it is probably healtheir than most other sandwiches because of its veggies content. Definitely worth a try at some point. more

this is the place good, healthy, tasty food. they serve mainly pitas (hence the name - pita pete's) and the best thing - they're all made-to-order. you can put any combination of more than 25 ingredients from romaine and alfalfa sprouts, to chickpeas and olives, as well as any of 15+ dressings, and finally a choice of main ingredient (meat, etc). my favorite is the chicken gyro. highly recommended! more
