Excellent Service 4/20/2012

I recentlytackled Pinewood Appliance Repair because my new kitchen range had quit functioning after only two weeks. After describing the problem to the technician, he suggested that it could likely be an issue with the electrical breaker, and if that proved to be the case, he would have to charge me for the service call. I had an electrician check and, sure enough, all we had to do was replace a worn-out breaker. Thanks to their advice, I was spared the additional charge of the service call by the appliance repair people. Such honesty and consideration deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Pinewood Appliance Repair. more

Pinewood appliance, Bend, OR 7/21/2011

We had to have an ignition switch replaced on our stove. Pinewood came out and told us that removing the top would require new screws and therefore all new burners, their statement ""these are just really hard to do, we see this all the time. Their quote $778. Two days later another appliance person had the new ignitor in place after taking all of 10 minutes to remove the top, total cost of the waranteed job $166. Works great! Have since heard that Pinewood is really expensive, however in this case we have either a purposeful attempt at ripping us off or somebody that doesn't know what they are doing. Whichever the case do you want to hire them? more

IMPRESSIVE 3/3/2011

We have been using Pinewood Appliance Repair since 2004. We have all KitchenAid appliances that were purchased during our remodel in 2001. Our oven has required replacement of the electronic panel twice since purchased, the dishwasher also has needed it's electronic panel replaced twice and the dryer's fuses have needed replacing twice. I suppose that these replacements are just part of our digital age but Pinewood has always been to the rescue within a day or two and gone out of their way to check for potential future problems. Just today Ken was our repair man (during dryer fuse replacement) and noticed that the washer was a little out of balance and gladly fixed it at no extra charge. My next tub of towels took 30 minutes less in the dryer because the washer spin cycle was corrected. Thank you Pinewood and a special thanks to Ken whose great personal integrity was displayed today. more

Awesome Service 1/18/2011

GREAT service 5 star! We?ve used Pinewood Appliance for over 8 years for all our appliance needs. The technicians are highly trained and have always fixed the problem at a reasonable rate or recommend that we replace the appliance if the cost was going to be to more than the cost of a new appliance. more

IMO, not very honorable people 12/13/2009

Use them twice in one month to fix a refrigerator and a dishwasher. ( 10/2009 ) They told me the fridge needed a condenser and a compressor. Both parts under manufacturer warrantee but labor was $ 859.00. How long does it take to change a compressor and an evaporator ??? 10 hours ???? He said he could charge the system but it would not last long. He charged the system and it is still working great 2 months later. The employee who came was a very heavy smoker that just stunk. Bill was $ 85.00 Second time, my 1 1/2 year old GE dishwasher wasn't working properly. It needed a controller and keypad according to the technician. I suspect it needed just a key pad, but whatever - the controller was under warrantee. But the keypad was not. He charged me over $ 430 for repairs which is what he told me in the beginning. $ 190.00 for the part plus $ 10.00 shipping. The rest was labor. Work was done in an hour and the machine now works. However, the $ 190.00 part I found online for $ 61.00 plus $ 4.95 shipping. You be the judge. I realize people have to make a living, but I felt that they were a rip off. Pros: Don't have any Cons: shady characters more
