Pines Pet Cemetery & Cremation Center

Our pet died unexpectedly in the evening and we were on the phone with The Pine Cemetery next morning. By the noon, they were taking care of our pet with the utmost respect. We, humans, received the most caring experience. They were comforting and very professional as they were explaining our options. The environment to spend the final moments with our pet was beautiful. We selected burial in a private grave for which we had numerous casket options. Also, there were endless styles of headstones. By 3PM they had the grave ready. They provided a modest but beautiful service at the grave as they lowered the casket into the ground. The private grave is $200 + a one time $100 maintenance fee. Everything else is optional, the casket is not required. The casket was $175 with beautiful silk like lining, cover and pillow. This is a very small amount compared to what we received throughout the years from our pet as a companion and a friend. The cemetery as a whole is beautiful with statues of pets, from rabbits to full size horses. It is a 30 acres beautiful place to walk around on a nice day. It is registered cemetery by the state, therefore by law nothing can be built on that could disturb the burial sites. I wanted Paws 2 Wings Pet Cremation service, however somehow Pines ended up with my pet? Sure the urn looked okay but I'm not happy with the fact that they took my pet from the vet when they weren't for them. I will not be using them again, as I didn't want to use them in the first place. more

The people who work at The Pines were very compassionate, respectful, and supportive when I had to bury my dog and cat recently. They call your pet(s) by their names at all times and treated them with respect the entire time. The way they arranged my pets in the casket was so wonderful..they captured the essence of my pet's relationship, which I did not expect. I appreciated the chapel for a last good-bye and eulogy, as well as the graveside service and prayer. It meant a lot to me that Spot and Charlie were given a respectful, loving burial and a beautiful, peaceful place to rest for eternity. They truly made a very painful, extremely difficult time for me a little easier. The cost was reasonable and affordable. I highly recommend them. more

The Pines has been the greatest place and has the greatest most compassionate people working there you can ever imagine. Your beloved pet is treated with respect and kindness and a gentle hand. Many services are offered and there is something for everyone - no matter what - you are helped along by the staff in making each decision when you cant think and are crying, hugs and listening to your pets unique story is what they do. They ring the bells at your service upon request and it is the most beautiful of chimes. The resident dogs and cats make it so much easier when a dog comes over and licks your hand. I was in the cememtary visiting others of the family that had gone before when a resident came up behind me and knocked into me and licked me with a slurpy kiss - no person could have helped me during that moment. I am very blessed to have this place. They are very loving people. I drive from Indy to bring my furry kids here. It's just beautiful there. They are caring with all of your requests and are understanding when you call and you are having problems speaking, they are caring to let you get out what you need to and will offer so much comfort. I used the Pines Pet Cemetary for cremation for my cocker spaniel Sophie and the staff was excellent. They really wanted to know what she was like, they were very compassionate and empathetic and they sent me a packet of articles on pet grief that was helpful. They encouraged me to stroll their grounds which was so peaceful and comforting. The cemetary is beautifully maintained and very lovely as a final resting place for your beloved pet. I have since referred a friend and my sister to use their services and they were also pleased. more

In October, I had to make the decision to have my beloved dog euthanized. I decided to have her taken to The Pines. I went there to pick out her plot, casket and headstone. The Pines is a beautiful place. It is well kept, there are beautiful flowers everywhere, even a small chapel on the grounds for funeral ceremonies. The staff was so helpful in my decision on a plot, casket and headstone. They offer burials and cremation. They have several caskets and urns to choose from, many styles of headstones. They even sent me a picture of my little dog in her casket. They really helped to make a difficult situation bearable. I would recommend The Pines to anyone who needs such services. more
