we were gonna fight the crowds at macaroni grill last friday night, but i'm so glad we gave up and swung by the pineapple room. it was surprisingly quiet (but not empty) and the atmosphere was much more relaxed and romantic. the decor is soothing, but the food is out of this world. it's a little pricey, obviously not as cheap as italian, but the value for alan wong's cooking is great. my husband had the shrimp scampi, which was yummy and i had two appetizers--a fiddlehead fern salad and the best crabcakes i've ever had! and i didn't have to wait 2 hours to be seated!
