I absolutely love going to the Pine Tree Apple Orchard. They have all kinds of things to do and lots of tasty things to try. You could walk around all day and not get bored. more

Disappointing 9/15/2006

With my toddler in tow, I went to Pine Tree after hearing great things about it. I was extremely disappointed for these reasons:\r - You could not pick your own apples.\r - You could not walk in the apple orchard\r - The wagon ride was just a wagon pulled by a tractor for a 5 minute tour of a small part of the orchard.\r - There was no playground, or anything for a 3yr old to do other than walk around a store selling apple products.\r - Bathrooms are port-a-johns.\r \r The apple pie I purchased was good. But I wouldn't visit this orchard again unless my only intent was to stock up on apples. PROS: good apples, close to cities CONS: can't pick your own apples, not much for toddlers to do more

A fun apple orchard to visit 11/7/2005

We usually make at least one trip to Pine Tree apple orchard each year. They have a nice selection of apples and offer baked goods to bring home frozen or fresh. There is a nice bakery so you can have a treat while you are there. They offer a nice big area where you can have a picnic, pony rides, and wagon rides. During different times of the year they have strawberries and pumpkins also. The only thing we wished they offered was going to pick your own apples because the kids think that is fun. more

Treasure Found! 10/3/2002

I was driving along Hwy 96 on my way to Stillwater when out of the corner of my eye I saw a sign for Pine Tree Apple Orchards. I decided to be adventureous and check it out. So down the road I went and over the train tracks and around this corner and that and then there it was! It was like finding treasure at the end of the rainbow... okay maybe I am being a little melodramatic but it was very entertaining and lively place. I had a blast! I came back the next week with my 4 year old nephew and he loved it. We are going again this year! Pros: Great Atmosphere, Relaxing and Inviting, No hassle Parking more

No Picking Allowed! 10/1/2002

I go to an orchard for one reason: to pick lots of apples of all types. At Pine Tree you cannot pick your own apples. They only sell already picked macintosh, cortland, and honeycrisp. You can walk through the orchard it is about a 5 minute walk and look at the apple trees. Also they have tons of picnic tables but you're not allowed to picnic on saturdays and sundays. Other than the long drive, it is like buying apples at the grocery store. more
