This little neighborhood hideaway seems frozen in time. It's the sort of place where neighbors stop in to grab a pie before attending a dinner party, or senior citizens or friends gather to chat. The staff has worked here for years, and the sign on the wall says No Calorie Counting allowed, and it's a good thing. They sell pastry, cheesecakes, cookies, breads, breakfast treats and decadent cakes. The line is out the door for pumpkin pies every Thanksgiving, and the birthday cakes require a registration in advance.
