PICCOLOS IS THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER EATEN ! 6/25/2013

Piccolos Pizza is the BEST pizza I have ever eaten ! I got spoiled by them, and now have gotten really fussy ! We used to go there all the time and pig out on our House Special with the beef. \r \r We used to live in Minnesota, born and raised there. We moved to Albuquerque New Mexico in November 2004 because of the weather. Most of the pizza places here just don't seem to know how to make good pizzas. They have skimpy toppings and cheese, and very little sauce if any. One of the best we have found so far is Giovannis , but NO ONE can hold a candle to Piccolos! I sure wish Piccolos would open up a shop here in Albuquerque ! I would be their first customer! I think people here are getting sick of hearing me brag about Piccolos all the time ! \r \r New Mexico doesn't have a clue what good pizza really is ! We have a web site here called Duke City Fix, and right now there is a discussion group on the best and worst pizza places in Albuquerque. You can check it out for yourself, Its open to anyone. I have a post on there bragging about Piccolos, and groaning about the poor pizza here. LOL ! When you've had the best, ( PICCOLO'S ) , its hard to be satisfied with anything else! LOL ! \r \r For those of you fortunate enough to still live in the Twin Cities, enjoy your Piccolos ! \r Although I miss my beloved Piccolos, I am fortunate to live in Albuquerque because of the fabulous mild weather here! And if you ever come down to visit, bring me a Piccolos Pizza ! PRETTY PLEASE ??? Pros: Fabulous food and great service ! Best ever ! Cons: No complaints except I wish they had one in Albuquerque ! more

Might as well call this place ""why bother"" pizza! It's average pizza but the place seems like its never open every subsequent time I've gone there. I won't continue trying to get the timing right on their odd hours for pizza I can get just about anywhere else. more

Best Kept Secret 2/14/2012

Not only is the Pizza great but Jack (the owner) is an excellent Pastry Chief. For our Thanksgiving dinner last year I ordered 20 pastry?s that were artfully decorative as well as great tasting. He designed a turkey and filled the back with a pumpkin mousse?Incredible and a big hit with our guests! Back to the Pizza thing now; the tomato sauce and crust is what makes or breaks a pizza in my book. Piccolos sauce has a very old school authentic flavor/spice that puts it in a class of its own. For me, this is the reason I keep going back. The crust is good, you should try to avoid ordering too many greasy ingredients unless you don?t mind the grease rolling down your chin. Mmmm makes me hungry just thinking of it! more

I ordered a lg sausage and mush pizza last night and was thoroughly disappointed. The flavor was one dimensional, the sausage was bland, and the crust was flabby, not soggy, just soft and flabby. Although they did pile on the cheese it didn't make up for the otherwise forgettable experience. I've had pizza from numerous places in Eagan that was much better so I won't be ordering from Piccolo's again. more

Best Pizza Ever 12/31/2008

I work for the NWA, so I have had pizza in just about every so called famous pizza place out there. This place puts all the others to shame. My family makes a pilgrimage (45min drive) as often as we can to take in this fabulous food. Try the puffed pizza, it is to die for. Pros: Puffed pizza & jojo's more

My favorite pizza place 6/22/2008

Excellent Pizza at Piccolo's. I don't like any other place better. I recommend getting the house special (they have two house specials, just say you want the one that has hamburger / beef on it). I usually order it with 1/2 of the mushrooms. It is delicious! I also like the taco pizzas. I would have never tried it, but a buddy of mine ordered it one night and it is awesome. The interior of the place is certianly 70s decor, but I only live a few blocks away so I always get take out or delivery. I love Savoy too, but in my opinion this is better. Pros: Excellent Pizza Cons: 70s decor (who cares? only the pizza matters :-) more

Mom and Pop pizza shops still live 1/5/2006

I love this place for pizza. It has great flavor and generous toppings for the dollar value. The cheese is a little greasy but gives the pizza better taste. Talking to the owners they are on site 7 nights a week. Give this place a try and chain pizza's will only taste average to you after eating this pizza. Pros: good service, small cafe atmosphere Cons: only open nights, limited seating more

Disagree. Except for the chix, this place is avg. 3/14/2005

I live in Eagan and as much as I like to patronize ""non-chain"" restaurants, it's hard to frequent Piccolo's. The pizza is average at best. The sauce has a strange color and consitency---almost like Campbell's tomato soup. The broasted chicken, however, rocks. Hot out of the broaster is awesome. It's spendy, but worth it. The help is usually kids who can be a little snooty if the boss isn't around. This place has potential, but a sprucing up is in order. The pizza sauce has got to change, otherwise rename it to Pizza Hut II. Pros: parking, chicken, quaint more

Eat Piccolo's Fries!!!! 8/31/2004

The Piccolo's fries with spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce are mouth watering delicious. Worth every calorie. The pizza is thin and made to order. A nice, family run place. Fast delivery and good shakes too! Pros: Piccolo's Fries, Shakes, Service Cons: , Seating limited more
