I went to the Quail Springs Mall location recently with a friend and her son. We were really looking forward to painting our own pottery as Christmas presents for family members....

Prices and Quality = GREAT. Customer Service = HORRIBLE...Would I go again? For a Birthday Party that I set up = NO! By myself = YES/POSSIBILITY. \r \r So disappointed in the customer service. Prices are fair and the quality is great. The quality time with family and friends was great. The owner I have met several times and never have I felt so disconnected with someone. I set-up a birthday party for my 11 year old daughter that was a mommy and daughters party. Very intimate group but I can't begin to list the multiple problems I had. The employee that helped us complained the whole time about how horrible of a place it is to work there. She was a sweet girl overall though. Management told me she was sick. Why is she working then? I felt so bad for this girl. She told me why she wasn't feeling well and out of respect for her I won't say but as a business owner I wouldn't allow it!\r \r My mom is in a wheel chair. I went in a week early to make sure we set aside the pieces we wanted to paint and make sure my mom could get into the party room. They have a side door to allow access for her to get in and out. When we arrived at the mall for the party, the mall moved had moved a planter in front of the door for my mom to have access into the party room. I asked the owner what we can do and she showed no empathy. I was about to cry. I thought I was going to have to cancel the party. I asked her if we could have the party in the main room and she said, ""you brought food?"" I said, ""we only have cupcakes."" She said, ""that's food"". Very disrespectfully. I said, ""I understand, but what can we do?"" She said, ""your mom can paint out in the main room while we have the party in the other room."" I thought, are you kidding?"" I said to the owner, ""my mom is one of the main people in our birthday party and I wouldn't have her paint in the other room with us being in the party room."" The owner said, ""can she get up and walk into the party room."" I pointed to my mom's leg and said to her, ""she is amputated, she can't walk."" At this point I was about to fall apart. How disrespectful can one person be? I thought... \r \r She then got on the phone and called mall security to ask permission to move the planter. We then noticed the planter really did not block the door and we never had to move it. She was just being nasty towards us. What a horrible way to start this off I thought. \r \r I went up to her and told her I didn't want to be, ""one of those people who caused problems."" I see no problem with wanting my mom to be in the same room. She completely ignored when I tried to reach out for a ""truce"" conversation. I asked her straight forward at that point if she had been doing this business for awhile. Over 20 years for this specific store. I asked her if she was on burn out. The answer was, ""yes"". \r \r Now I get it. She is just tired. So to her respect...I get it... But it's not a reason to be disrespectful to the people that help pay your bills. more

Quail Springs Location: Customer Service--LEARN IT. 12/8/2010

I went to the Quail Springs Mall location recently with a friend and her son. We were really looking forward to painting our own pottery as Christmas presents for family members. My friend told the two ladies behind the counter that this was our first time there. Normally, that would be a merchant's clue to maybe explain the process in greater detail, but that didn't happen. All we were told was that we would have our choice of six colors with refills. I only used two colors; my friend used six. The little spaces that the colors were in were about the diameter of a golf ball, and very shallow. Not a lot of color when you're painting an entire cookie jar, like my friend was. She quickly learned, to our dismay, that refills were NOT free; there was a .40 charge every time the girl had to come refill the color. After doing this several times, she developed quite an attitude and made a catty remark about having to keep refilling the paint. My friend and I just looked at her, surprised at her attitude. That is her job, after all. After we'd been there for a solid two hours, we were finally almost finished painting our pieces. Both of us were intently painting polka dots when this same girl came over and said, ""Oh, I see you're painting polka dots; did you know we have these sponges you can use?"" Yeah. They were polka-dot sponges. I was so frustrated I actually laughed out loud, because REALLY?? After all that time, when she's seen what we've been painting (our table was right by the front desk) she's JUST NOW letting us know about the sponges? The availability of those sponges should have been one of the things explained to us initially when we revealed that it was our first time there. It was just a horribly uncomfortable experience overall, and only because of the ladies working there. They were not friendly and welcoming at ALL. I felt like I was annoying them just by being there. As a customer, I don't believe I should EVER be made to feel this way. The man I dealt with when I picked up my piece was very nice. Unfortunately, he's not the only employee in the store, or I would definitely go back. As it is, I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I would rather risk the gang shoot-outs at the location in Crossroads Mall than go back to the Quail Springs Location. more

Fun project. Horrible experience 12/8/2010

It was really fun glazing the pottery and I would definitely do it agian but at a different location. I was at the Picasso to Go in Quail Springs mall. The owners/operators were very rude. I went with a friend and we both thought so at the time but just dealt with it. Plus they ended up charging extra for glaze. And did not explain their prices fully until it was time to pay and we were surprised by the cost because it was not how they explained it. Then when I went to pick up my pottery I was 2 hours early and the lady was immediately mad that I showed up early to check, but I live an hour away and I explained I just wanted to check. I knew it would be days before I would be in the area again. She refused to check and see if my pottery was done. She wouldn't even look at my order slip. Finally I had to ask her to stop yelling at me. I was in tears at this point. I am pregnant and had my 3year old with me so I was trying really hard not to yell back. Then she suddenly realized after all of the drama that my pottery is done. She steps into the back room and gets it. It literally took about 15 seconds. If she had actually checked my order instead of getting so angry she would have seen my order was done and could have saved us both a lot of trouble. I am not the type to complain about a company. This is the first time ever but I have never experienced anything like this. I would highly recommend NOT going to this place. more

It was a disaster 5/10/2009

We went to the Quail Springs location for a birthday party with 8 girls. We called that day and were told the price would be $6 charge per girl for a ""paint and set up"" fee, plus the cost of the piece that was picked out. We were told there was a shelf of $5 items to choose from. We budgeted $11 per girl.\r \r When we arrived even the employees had trouble finding any $5 items. Finally one 4x4 tile was located. At that point it was either force all the girls to paint a tile (boring), cancel the party (unimaginable), or choose the plentiful, more expensive options. Ah, the old bait and switch. The manager refused to compensate us in any way for their deceit.\r \r Additionally, although the party was Friday, the pieces would not be ready until Tuesday. This was also not explained to us previously. Now we either had to tell the girls' parents to come in on their own and pick them up, drive all over the metro area to deliver them ourselves, or take them to school and try to discreetly deliver them.\r \r I'm sure the girls enjoyed themselves, but as parents we were appalled with the way we were treated. We certainly won't be back. Be very careful when working with this company. I would recommend ""Paint it Yourself Pottery"" instead. Pros: The girls had fun Cons: Dishonest Pricing Quotes more

SO MUCH FUN!! 4/9/2008

My daugther and I went to Piaccso To Go for the first time the other day and had a blast! We could have stayed there painting for hours. The prices are good to!! Pros: Thumbs Up more
