They have the best burritos in Chicago, period. 8/3/2009

Picante is unique. It's not like other taco joints and it has a lot of personality. I like ordering the white boy tacos and a burrito and sitting out on Division street, enjoying the sweet, heavenly joy that is Picante. Highly recommend this place, if you're looking for the best burrito in Chicago, this is where you'll find it. Pros: great food, great burritos, what more can you ask for? Cons: it's not open 24 hours, sometimes closes in harsh weather more

Editorial review from GrubHub 10/31/2008

Nice food, but they seldom have the full menu available. 8 out of 10 times I’ve ordered, they’ve NEVER had Ahi Tuna Tacos. Apparently a popular item, but not popular enough to keep on hand. more

Undercooked 6/15/2007

The meat was undercooked and I went there twice because you can't really judge a place by a one time visit. Both times, 3 months apart, the meat was undercooked and since I live a block away, I took it to go. When I got home, the bottom of the bag was a darker brown from all the grease used. This place is also over-priced and has almost nothing out of the ordinary or anything that caught my eye to eat. I do not recommend this place not from a one time bad experience, but multiple times. Pros: Good location and possible drunk food Cons: parking, food quality, and lack of ambiance more

Yummy Late Night Spot 8/29/2005

Food was cheap, hot, and tasty. It was 2AM so it wasn't too late. My wife and I were visiting w/ some friends that live close to Picante and after a night beverage consumption, we were looking for a place to grab a snack and Picante hit the spot. This is the type of place people have in mind when using the phrase "hole-in-the-wall". Pros: Cheap, Hot, Good Salsa Cons: Obnoxious Drunks more
