I went to the Phoenix Center for a facial. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment time and was handed a huge stack of forms to fill out. Not only did the forms ask for my name address and phone number, they also wanted my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Hello? I am getting a facial, not an operation.
The desk person said rather snootily when I asked her why on earth they would need any of the very personal information they were asking for, "Well its because we might need it if there's an emergency."
I repeated to her that I was getting a facial, not a lobotomy and they wouldn't get any of that info.
I went back to my seat. It was time for my appointment and I expected to be called at any time.
I was wrong.
15 minutes after my appointment I went back to Snooty to ask what the problem was. I was told they don't page the technicians to arrive until the person who made the appointment shows up.
HUH?
What is the purpose of having an appointment if I have to wait around for half an hour for the tech to arrive.
30 minutes later - 45 minutes after my appointment time - I was finally called back into the spa area.
The tech was perfunctory and unskilled. She actually left lotion caked on my face and told me I was ready to go.
I will not be back to the Phoenix Center. I feel that they are both unprofessional and overpriced for the services provided.
There are many wonderful day spas in the Chattanooga area - don't waste your money here.
