I go here regularly because it is close by, cheap and good. I am not a Vietnamese food expert, but the food is very tasty compared to some of the other Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. I have never had a dish I didn't like, whether it was pho, stir fry, or noodles. Their pho broth is also much more flavorful than most other places - while most places are bland, their broth has kick. The spring rolls and egg rolls are excellent appetizers too. Food comes very fast so it is great if you are hungry and need something right away. It is a mom n' pops shop with a very friendly, but inexperienced waitstaff. Keeping the limited experience in mind, they do a great job. I love it and will keep going back. Ok, this isn't a high end restaurant. But, the Vietnamese is authentic and delicious. The owners and employees are wonderful people, friendly, and happy to see you. We come here enough that they recognize us and are always willing to please. Anytime there has been a problem, theyre always willing to helpeven if the problem is because Im didnt know what I was ordering. the food here is definitely not the best vietnamese food i've had, but comes through and just barely hits the spot when craving vietnamese food. however, their prices are fairly cheap, and its a good place for lunch, since you pay at the front, and the service is fast and friendly. Pho Vang2 is one of those mom & pop restaurants, which needs to improve its cuisine. Their food is below standards and any Vietnamese will tell you that given the choice, they rather make the trek SW Bellaire to satisfy their appetites. I've eaten here 4 times with my colleagues from work since we didn't want to make the long drive. And after the last time, I was so disappointed in the food that I will never return, no matter how desperate my craving for a good bowl of pho or any traditional noodle soup. Fortunately, a new restaurant had just opened up around the corner. I dont want to give out the name, cause people may thing that I am promoting the restaurant, or even work there and have a bias. I am just happy that there is more competition so at least Pho Vang2 can improve their standards. more
