Philadelphia Museum of Art was the background for the 2005 Live 8 concert. The road leading to this museum was filled with concert goers who came from all over the USA. Inside this museum you can find a good collection of art and artifacts from the past.
The best part of the museum is the walk in the back of the Museum, you can see the famous Row boat houses that light up in the evening, Fairmount Park and the Zoo balloon where you can get a nice view of the City. The front of the museum you can look down Ben Franklin parkway which leads to the fountain and you will also be able to see the main library of Philadelphia to your left, which is around 7 blocks away from the museum. It's a nice place to take a picture of the Philadelphia Skyline. Inside the museum you can take hours or even days to enjoy the exhibits.
