DO NOT GO HERE. I cannot stress this enough. They gave me a horrible tattoo- and yes, I consulted with the artist, and yes I knew what I wanted, and yes I liked his other work. He botched my tattoo so badly that I had to go to another artist to fix it. I did not want any artist at this place to fix it- if they would employ someone like the guy who did my work, I did not trust any other employee to do the job right. I had to pay another artist, and I have to go for yet another touch up because it was so screwed up that it could not be fixed all at once. This was a very simple, all black tattoo. This guy ruined the art with blowouts, rough edges, and cheap black ink. The he wrapped it is saran wrap. When I went back to the shop initially to complain, they told me the artist ""had a bad day that day"" because of personal issues. Here's an idea- don't work that day then! These things are permanent! DO NOT GO TO PETER TAT-2!!! You will be sorry! Go to Lark, go to King's Avenue. Not here. I AM A TATTOO COLLECTOR. I HAVE TRAVELED ACROSS THE COUNTRY GETTING CUSTOM PIECES FROM ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF ARTISTS. I HEARD OF PETER TAT2 THROUGH A RECCOMENDATION FROM A FRIEND. I WENT TO THE SHOP AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED AT THE UNIQUE LOOK OF THE SHOP.I ALSO NOTICED THAT I WAS NOT CONFRONTED OR PRESSURED TO GET A TATTOO. I TALKED TO THE ARTISTS THAT WORK THERE AND LOOKED AT THEIR PORTFOLIOS AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED. THEY TOLD ME THE SHOP WAS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND THEY WERE GOING FOR A NEW LOOK .PAINTINGS AND ARTWORK CROWDED THE WALLS WITH TONS OF FLASH AND INTERNET ACCESS. I PROCEEDED TO TALK TO AN ARTIST ABOUT A CUSTOM PIECE AND WE AGREED. I LEFT MY DEPOSIT AND RECIEVED AN AMAZING PIECE OF CUSTOM ARTWORK ON TIME AND MADE THE APPOINTMENT. AFTER RECIEVING MY TATTOO I WAS SO IMPRESSED I DECIDED TO WRITE THIS REVIEW TO CREDIT THE HARDWORKING EMPLOYEES. DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT SEE FOR YOURSELF. I waited a looong time before I got my first tattoo because I was afraid of a disaster- too painful, bad work, etc. Well, that's all I got from this place. The pain was not bad at all, and my artist told me I behaved very well- no squirming, screaming, etc. Well, my tattoo has healed, and not only do I have three blowouts, it is uneven, and the color is gray. Granted the color issue may not be the artist's fault, but the uneven and asymmetrical part of it is. When I called with a question, I was treated rudely. This is a tattoo that is all black and took 40 minutes to complete, start to finish. Not a huge deal. The work is so sloppy- I am calling the manager today to make a complaint. Not to mention- now I have to worry about what else was done carelessly. I had to go crying to another artist to fix it- and I have to wait a month for it to heal. So now, I am walking around with this poorly done, first tattoo on my arm. Now I see why people don't get them. To tell you the truth, i wasn't feeling this place initially... they had this ""whatever"" attitude that doesn't come off as very customer friendly.... not very professional if you ask me.. i had gone to a place in the city to check it out and the guys there was sooo nice about things.. but i went here to get it done with a friend of mine b/c apparently they have a good rep.. the first walk-in they nonchalantly told us they were packed... so i called to make an appt and they had me on speaker phone and i could barely hear him but he never picked up off the speaker.. thought that was rude too....... in anycase, when it came down to actually sitting in the chair and getting it done, he was sooo nice.. joked around with us, answered our questions, explained things etc... and did a great job on the tattoo!!! .. we were both very satisified!.. in terms of the price, i have to research and see if they charged me reasonably, it sounded like a lot but i can't be sure b/c i'd never done this before Pros: parking, good talent, friendly Cons: initial customer service more
