Peninsula Associates is a private practice which specializes in speech, language and learning services. We have provided consultation, assessment and treatment to clients of all ages since 1978. While our practice has grown in size and reputation over the years, our goals have remained the same: To provide the highest quality speech-language-learning services to our clients, colleagues and community.To maintain a positive, nurturing work setting for our speech-language pathologists and learning specialists.A variety of unique programs have been developed for individuals and groups who have special needs as well as for clients who simply want to enhance their communicative effectiveness. Peninsula Associates' speech-language pathologists are licensed by the state of California and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Many are also credentialed by the California Department of Education.
Peninsula Associates evaluates and treats children of all ages with a wide range of speech, communication and learning needs. Special services have also been designed for adults with specialized voice needs, fluency problems, attention deficit disorder, residents in group homes, and adults who have experienced a stroke or brain injury. We serve caregivers with understanding and teach them both coping skills and helping strategies. We maintain current NPA certification through the California Department of Education and employ many speech-language pathologists with years of relevant school experience. We provide full or part time services and work with students at all levels: preschool, elementary, middle and high school. Peninsula Associates offers 1-2 hour weekly pragmatic language groups throughout the school year as well as 2 week intensive group programs during the summer. SociaLights refers to Peninsula Associates' pragmatic, social language groups for children of all ages. Ou r 2008 summer groups are 5 days per week - 4 days of structured sessions and 1 play date or off-site outing. In each 2-hour session, we introduce a social concept, present rules/guidelines and provide FUN practice opportunities (scripts, role plays, art work, craft projects, and games). The session content is tailored to the children's age and skill level of each group. Join us this summer for as many camps as your schedule allows!
