I've been going to Pelican's since the late 1970's. They consistently have good steaks and some of the best baked potatoes I've ever eaten. Unlike one of the previous reviewers, I've never seen the salad bar dirty; quite to the contrary, it's always clean and neat. The salad bar isn't extensive, but it has all the basics covered. Additionally, their soups are always hot and fresh.
I've never had bad service at Pelican's. Ever. Yes, it's an older restaurant, but the decor is still interesting with a nautical theme and a shark on the wall.
Sometimes I order the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they're always piping hot and delicious. Pelican's is a nice restaurant in which to get a good meal at very reasonable prices.
