Super Service with a Smile! 7/17/2011

If you are looking for a team of skilled professionals who treat their patients with respect and care, I definitely recommend going to Dr. Peck for any of your oral needs. My orthodontist of seven years sent me to him since I needed all four of my wisdom teeth to be removed and to be honest, I was pretty nervous to go through wisdom teeth surgery, especially for the removal of all four. However, Dr. Peck more

Very nice office , excellent service ! 6/9/2011

I was a walk-in , private patient of Dr. Peck about 2 weeks ago. I needed my two lower wisdom teeth out . I came for my first consultation and they did take a digital panoramic x-ray on me - that took them like 10 seconds. Doctor Peck observed my teeth and told me that they have to come out. He discussed with me 3 different kind of anesthetic and i decided to go with laughing gas because I was super nervous. They gave me that laughing gas first and than numb the area ... waited 10 minutes and the procedure took about 10 minutes itself! It was amazing !!! Doctor asked me several times if i had pain before pulling and during the surgery. Also i got a follow up phone call at night time to see how am I feeling - It was really nice of him. The staff was really nice as well as the whole experience at Dr. Peck's office. Will recommend to friends ! more

I had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Peck and I did not know it was already done when he told me:"" that's it, you can go"". Thank you, Dr. Peck. more

Wonderful Doctor! 6/30/2010

I went to Dr Peck to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Going to the dentist, of course is not my favorite thing to do, but Dr. Peck was able to put me at ease and explained the entire procedure to me before he actually did anything. He spend a great amount of time with me answering all of my questions and concerns. He was not rushing to the next patient and was very thorough. The procedure itself was fast and painless. That same evening and three days later Dr Peck followed up with a phone call to see how I was feeling. He is the kind of professional that gets an A+ in my book. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone! Rest assured you'll be in great hands! Pros: Very knowledgeable, put me at ease! more

Great Doctor 6/13/2010

I was at doctor Peck's office to get my wisdom teeth removed. Mind you I hate needles, I hate the smell of doctors offices, and I HATE NEEDLES. I waited maybe 20 minutes was taken into the room and made me very comfortable. Because I got my wisdom teeth pulled i needed multiple shots, six to be exact. The doctor came in numbed me up and made them all almost seem painless. He quickly did the procedure not to prologue my suffering, after he made sure i was okay and saw me off I had a great experience i recommend this doctor to everyone!!!! Pros: It was quick and painless! more

Terrible bedside manor 7/16/2009

I was referred to Dr. Peck by my regular dentist. Dr. Peck's staff was kind, but the dentist was cold, and unconcerned about my condition. I am afraid of dentists, and approached the situation with much hesitation because my tooth had broken, and a portion was still lodged in my gums. Dr. Peck had me sit in a room with a chair, and equipment that looked like a storage room. When it came time for him to administer the anesthesia, he told me to open my mouth and jabbed me with the needle,. When I help up my hand to tell him to wait for the second shot, he said, move your hand, and NO YELLING. He administered a second, very painful shot into the roof of my mouth, and abruptly left the room, while I was in tears. His staff checked on my, and asked if I was ok. By that time, I just wanted to get it over with,. Dr. Peck pushed, pulled, and ripped my tooth out, left the bloody tooth on the table, and exited the room while the nurse tried to stop the bleeding. HE WAS HORRIBLE!!!! Cons: This surgeon is abrasive, rude, and has no compassion. more

Terrible experience 8/6/2008

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Leon Peck. I found him in my insurance network and decided to go to him for my wisdom teeth extraction surgury. As another review states, he is lacking any decent bedside manner. That was only one of many problems. I was given laughing gas for surgury as I had requested but it did not work in the least, I informed the doctor during the procedure that I was well aware and the laughing gas didn't seem to be working. He simply told me to breathe deeper. I did breathe in deeper, but still remember every second of surgury and was very frightened the entire time and very uncomfortable. I followed the post-surgury instructions to a T, yet 5 days later I am still in pain as I developed dry sockets. After getting a second opinion, the dry sockets are most likely the surgeons fault. So I went to get those looked at, and Dr. Peck attempted to put medicated gauze in my mouth without first putting on rubber gloves. Without explaing what a dry socket is or how I could have gotten them (probably since he knew he was the reason) he shoved the gauze in my mouth and I left in tears as it is a very sensitive area. The gloves thing is a huge RED FLAG to me... and I don't believe I will be returning as I have found a better dentist for my post-operation check ups. more

Go elsewhere 7/5/2007

I was referred to Dr. Peck to have my wisdom teeth removed. First, I didn't appreciate his bedside manner - I wouldn't consider him compassionate. Additionally, I had a horrible time with billing. When my insurance mistakenly didn't pay for the entire procedure, the office automatically billed my bank account. When you are a patient there, they make you sign something saying that if insurance doesn't pay, they can take it from your account and you have to give them the information. I didn't want to sign it, but they promised it was only in the instance that I refused to pay or disappeared and my insurance didn't cover it. Well, no one ever sent me a bill. I never knew the insurance had made a mistake until I ended up with a several hundred dollar charge on my account. I called to complain but they wouldn't do anything about it until my insurance paid through, even though the insurance company called them and said it was the insurance company's mistake and that the claim had been reprocessed properly. I finally got reimbursed, but it was headache! Pros: Assistant was nice Cons: Poor bedside manner, billing problems more
