I enjoy shopping at Patina. It is one of those fun places to go where even if you don't buy anything you leave with a smile on your face.

I love the merchandise, but the service is horrible. Its impossible to get anyone to help you, or to even say hello Pros: variety Cons: service, price range

The "walmart" of twin cities gift shops 10/29/2009

So now we can buy our "styled" honeycrisp apples from patina (shoppe local) because it's trendy and another way to make money-and they keep several other stores and a website full of imported junk-what a joke, and we all fall for it. more

Agree that service is terrible 9/14/2009

I had a young woman help me with a handbag a few months ago and I thought the service had finally improved, but I have been there recently and she was gone, so it was back to being ignored and treated with hipster contempt-I think I'm done with Patina more

Agree with this poster-terrible customer service 9/14/2009

this store was better for a while-had a great person help me pick out some handbags a few months ago-but she seems to be gone-so back to business as usual, or in Patina's case not my business anymore more

Unique and fun gift shop 10/11/2005

Wow, this is a fun place to shop. If you are looking for a gift for a friend, a cute decoration for your home, a sweet smelling lotion or a sexy bath gel, this is a great place to check out. They have a pretty big selection of gifts and other goods. This is also a good place to find unique Christmas ornaments. They have ones that you can't find anywhere else. I think there are a few of these stores. Check them out! more

Quirky wares and fun novelties abound 10/4/2005

Patina is a breath of fresh air just outside of downtown Minneapolis. It stands conveniently next to Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream and announces your entrance to Uptown Minneapolis as you drive south on Hennepin Avenue. The store is cluttered with items, but in a quaint little shop kind of way. They carry everything from greeting cards, to gourmet soaps, to jewelry, and kitschy stuff. It's the kind of store that if you wander in off the street, you're probably guaranteed to find something that tickles your fancy. more

Patina Shines As A Specialty Gift Shop 9/25/2005

Similar to the Bibelot stores, in the quality and uniqueness of it's gift selection, the Bibelot really shines in the variety of books, cds & other fun items they carry. The Bibelot is a great place to find a gift for anyone with discerning, intelligent or charming taste. They carry fun household items, as well as hard to find tongue in cheek books. Their selection of hard to find french toiletries is also of note. more

The "it" Gift 9/25/2005

If you are looking for a fun gift for a girlfriend, sister or mother or maybe looking to treat yourself, well then you better make a stop at Patina. Patina is filled to the brim with lots of cute gift items, body care, accessories, games, jewelry and much more. There is not a lot of parking at Patina, but there is street parking if you do not mind walking a few blocks. more

Something for Everyone 8/19/2005

This store has a unique assortment of gift items. From candles, wrapping paper, baby gifts, wedding gifts, jewelry and I'm only scratching the surface. There are four Twin Cities locations. When you receive a gift from Patina you know it's going to be unique and fun. They strive on providing a variety of merchandise and they have a little bit of everything. Check out their kitchen merchandise or some of the fun wedding gifts such as chocolate body tattoos, sure to spice up any wedding night. more

Great gifts 8/19/2005

Aside from being fun, and funky, Patina has great gifts. I appreciate the range of gift ideas. I find it particularly helpful when shopping for people who "have everything" or for people I don't know as well. Gifts range from fun kid toys to more sophisticated items for adults--both men and women. A tip: The selection of items is constantly changing, so if you visit, and see something you like, buy it then. I have learned this painful lesson--if you wait to buy it later, it may not be there. more

Patine will make you smile 8/5/2005

Patina is one of the best places to shop gifts, cards, trinkets, etc. We mostly shop at the 50th Avenue location. All are more or less the same and all are great. The service level is always consistent and friendly. And the product selection is always fun. No matter what the mood is I go in with, there is always plenty of items in the store to make you smile. more

Patina is great for unique gifts and home decor 7/29/2005

I've gone to Patina several times to look for gifts, and I've never been disappointed. They have unique, fun things that you won't find at a Target or anywhere else. They have everything from jewlery, to cards, to vases, furniture, purses, and more. Fun books and baby things, too. It's a store with a little bit of everything, but it is for sure urban hip. There are 4 locations within the city. more

  • In Short
If you see something you like here (and you will), by all means treat yourself. But that's the delicious danger of this heaven-sent, last-minute-gift emporium. Patina offers...
