Best

I am a CONFESSED picky diner and Italian food is not usually my first choice UNLESS it's top-notch. Pros: Quality of food, friendly service and moderate prices. Cons: NONE.

Worst

I am baffled by the positive reviews. Pros: Friendly wait staff Cons: Terrible, I mean TERRIBLE food

Great service, fantastic food! 6/20/2008

Pasta Cucina is, without a doubt, my favourite restaurant in Vancouver and I've been five or six times now. The staff is extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cute and cozy, although admittedly the decor is a little low-budget; it's obvious this is a family owned affair rather than some mega-million dollar corporation chain restaurant. Pros: Friendly service, incredible food, good prices more

The Best Italian Food in the Vancouver area!!! 2/24/2008

Outstanding! That would be the one word I would use to rate every category for this delightful restaurant. The servers make you feel like you are an ""old friend"" and the food is superb! I had the clam linguini -- the BEST I've ever had, bar none. Also, the calamari was Amazing!! Highly recommended!!!! Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: Not open on Mondays -- but they are working on it! more

Excellent Food! 10/20/2007

My partner and I have been here twice now, and both times the food and service was great. True, it is in a little strip mall and it is a small place, but I really like the atmosphere inside. Prices are very reasonable too, compared to other italian restaurants. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an excellent italian meal. The Raviolli Fritte appetiser is excellent, and we have had it both times we were there. Also, in reply to the person that said it was the worst place they have ever been at, The first time we went was on a Sunday and they accepted our entertainment card, no questions asked. Plus, the red or marinara sauce which they use on some dishes is not salty at all. Are you sure you ate at this place and are not thinking of someplace else? more

Cheap Decor, Tasty Noodles 5/21/2007

Being seated right next to the kitchen window where servers yell, ""Hey, they just got their salads; I'll tell you when I need the entrees!"" back at the cooks has always been a pet peeve of mine. In their defense, it's a small space. The place is in a strip mall. The tablecloths are vinyl. The glasses are plastic - complete with Coca-Cola logos. I thought the walls were cute and Italian-esque in a Lady and the Tramp kinda way... but the grape garlands hanging from the ceiling were a bit much. The food was good... a bit pricey for the location, but good nonetheless. I went here because I had an Entertainment card discount (which, by the way, has since been reduced to 50% off one entree). Given the Entertainment card's track record (3 of the last dozen restaurants we tried lately had closed down before we made it there!), I'd call this outing a success. Pros: no wardrobe pressure, parking, focaccia bread on the side Cons: they tried, but it's just not too pretty more

Worst Lasagna 2/24/2007

This was the worst dining experience and the worst lasagna we ever had. To begin with, we went planning to use our Entertainment book coupon, but they refused it, saying they would not honor it on weekends. They also told another patron the same thing. However, there is no provision for them on the coupon for them not to honor it. more

The greatest little hole in the wall you could ever imagine... 10/22/2006

The first thing I noticed, which immediately made me fall in love with this quaint little diner--long before our food even came --was the environment! It's just lovely! Size wise, like I said, it is quite literally a hole in the wall, but what they've done with the space they do have is amazing! It's sorta hard to explain but it's very cute, makes ya feel all warm and cozy inside! Oh yes, and when you add that wonderfully intoxicating Italian aroma the the great atmosphere, it's ummm ummm good! more

WOW ! 11/29/2005

Oh my gosh! What a treat. This tiny little restaurant was such a pleasant suprise. The word needs to get out so it can grow! The food was marvelous, the service was excellent, and what they have done with the small space they have is amazing. Very cute, very charming, VERY Italian. Well done...best of luck to them. Pros: Great Food, traditional Italian, great pricing more

Vancouver's Gem 1/15/2004

Pasta Cucina is the best kept secret in Vancouver. I have yet had a bad experience, and have frequented this lovely little ""Cafe"" more times than I can recall. I recommend their Tortellini Rose and a house salad to everyone. We have been reaching out for a fresh local lunch spot and they have come thourgh! Pros: Great Value, Large Portions, Ambience Cons: Tiny more
