My wife went to Amadeus and I walked around this place for 3 hours...I am not a big brick and mortar shopper but it's nice to walk around the Paseo, eat some lunch although 3 hour...

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/16/2014

This shopping center is great. It has everything you could want in the heart of Pasadena. You'll pay to park but it's worth it if you're going to a movie and having dinner with friends. more

You can never get validated long enough which is rough, but this mall has so much to offer. It has an AMC, lots of eateries, and great shopping. Well worth the parking fee. more

This shopping center should be redone. The stores here are terrible. I'm not even sure how they are still open. Not a lot of foot traffic around here. more

Cool mall 8/26/2011

I was excited when this mall was built. A new place to hangout. It's not a big mall with lots of stores. So if you're planning on a shopping spree, this might not be the place to go. But if you just want to stroll and look around, this is a very nice place. Not crowded, few restaurants and stores that range from expensive to just ok. It's a place where you can meet with friends and have coffee and talk. A place where you can just chill and relax. more

Greta place to spend time with family!!!!! 11/12/2008

Great For A Nice Evening 11/21/2007

I was thrilled when the horrible old mall was torn down and this was built. I loved it when it first opened and have been back at least once a year since. I probably would never go here for a ""must have"" shopping trip; I prefer strolling around and poking into stores as the mood strikes. There are vendor carts in front of shops and plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Go at night when it's filled with lights and ambience. Dine at PF Chang's, grab a beer at the Yard House or a cup of coffee at Starbuck's. Stores in the mall are mostly chain stores but it's still fun to poke around. Pros: Nice Place to Stroll Cons: Fewer Stores Than the Average Mall more

Maybe I'm just nostalgic 2/7/2007

Now, I like a good outdoor mall just like anyone else, and I don't deny this mall is beautiful to look at. I don't like the lack of variety or exhorbitant prices at this place though. In fact, it makes me miss the old Pasadena mall TERRIBLY because it's where I spent the bulk of my adolescence! Imagine, I basically learned how to shop in the Pasadena mall, and now, in its place, there's this lovely disappointment that limits my ability to exercise those skills. What a pity. more

Not a good place anymore . . . 8/16/2006

What use to be a trendy spot has gone completely downhill. The customer service was awful in just about every store and restaurant we went to. There were a lot of closed stores (including the restaurant that were planning to go to). The mall was pretty empty, which I found very unusual for a weekend. I agree that you should stick to your local mall or venture into Old Towne Pasadena. This place isn't worth stopping for. more

Paseo Colorado 12/1/2005

This mall has a very good Macys store. And a few good resturants. However, there is many independant stores in this mall which tend to be expensive. Pros: Macy's store, Yard House Resturant Cons: Expensive Stores more

Paseo is OK 11/16/2005

Innovative design, outdoor setting, shopping, dinning. Good for hangout if you live there. Not for serious shopping though, not too many varieies. But if you have some brand in mind that you needed to shop for then maybe you will like it. Also they do have DSW (brand such as Coach or BCBG or MAC etc) the parking is pretty easy to find but quite annoying when you have to pay $4 and they don't have much to offer. Pros: hangout, Nice area, brand Cons: No variety, Parking more

One stop shopping 9/30/2002

This place is wonderful - if you live here, you never have to leave home - there is a grocery store, a gym, a movie theater, fabulous dining and great stores! Plus, you can walk to Old Town Pasadena. Definitely worth checking out! Pros: Variety of shops, Apartments on site more

Something the city needed 8/13/2002

We all have to admit, that even though the Paseo, is ""not for everyone"" it's definately alot better than what the Pasadena Plaza was. And even though the majority of the shops are the over priced, yet high in quality, Rodeo Drive-like shops, they still have good ol' Macy's and stores like Gossip and Reference. I thought it was great, especially for an out-doors mall. They have a tables to sit at, benches and fountains and occasionally live entertainment. There are tons of places to eat. They've got Amadeaus Spa and Equinox Gym. My only complaint is they charge for parking. Why? Though, you can't get free parking anywhere in Pasadena anymore, so it doesn't surprise me. more

Not for everyone 7/22/2002

When the Paseo opened up I saw a quick segment on one of the LA news shows that was interviewing people on their feelings of the Paseo, and one guy nailed it. He said that this place lacks variety and seems to cater to wealthy women. The shops lack style and uniqueness. The one good shop is called Reference, and they do a good job at combining style and good prices. Hopefully this place takes on a new approach before its filled with the murcky merchants that overtook the Plaza Pasadena. Oh... and parking is terrible. Pros: Nice design, Friendly climate Cons: Parking, Variety, Too Pricey more

Pass on Paseo 7/12/2002

i don't think this place is all it's cracked up to be. there seems to be a shortage of stores. and the ones they do have just aren't that varied and interesting to make a day's shopping trip for. while the open outdoor feeling is nice it doesn't make up for what looks like cheap stucco finish. thought this was going to be architecturally stunning etc....not even close. skip it...go to your local mall. Pros: dump replacement, parking Cons: no variety, poor design more

not worth your time! 7/11/2002

I expected much more than what I experienced at Paseo. It was touted as the new ""center"" of Pasadena by many who live around the area...but they missed the mark by a long shot. I literally said, ""That's it?"" when I was done shopping...and I left with NOTHING! I found ZERO of the items in ANY of the stores interesting enough to purchase...and not even the $1 to park for 3 hours was enough to lull me into coming again. Bottom line? Go there if you're in a pinch and REALLY want to shop in a particular store...this mall is not for those who want to do some SERIOUS shopping. Not only that, the customer service was seriously lacking. Many of the more upscale stores have snotty attendants that are obviously not even worth the minimum wage they are paid. Pros: beautiful scenery Cons: bad customer service, no free parking, lack of variety more

Good retirement home?? 7/10/2002

My wife went to Amadeus and I walked around this place for 3 hours...I am not a big brick and mortar shopper but it's nice to walk around the Paseo, eat some lunch although 3 hours is a little much. The whole time I was thinking...man, I really want to retire here. Get an apartment at the Paseo and you have everything you need there...although pricey haircuts. Bottom line: if you are a shooper you should love this place, if you nearing retirement and have $$- look into getting an apartment. more

Small 7/2/2002

Small and not much to chose from it has a few stores you can shop around from but not much did not like it at all. more

Disappointed.... 6/28/2002

I never cared for the Pasadena Mall and I expected so much as I watched them build the new Paseo. But the stores are hard to get to and so many are over-priced. The mall is beautiful but that's all it is, there is no convience about it. And what were they thinking with NO FREE PARKING. Pros: Pretty facade Cons: Pay Parking, Shops inconvienent more

precious 6/28/2002

I like Paseo, but it's not for the teeny bopper mall-rat crowd. The stores tend to be mostly high-end and expensive....(Cole-Hahn, Coach, Tommy Bahama's), but there are some non-chain types (Flutter) which are fun and unique. I tend to go there when I need a shopping fix, but don't want to drive anywhere...The restaurants tend to be fairly mediocre, and since there are plenty of good meals to be had in other Pasadena restaurants, I tend not to eat there...Overall, some good, high-end shops, a big movie theatre and a nice view of the civic center from Colorado Blvd. Pros: location Cons: restaurants more
