Below you will find the summary of the Houston Apartment Association Resident Relations Committee decision regarding your dispute. This decision is derived from an impartial review of the request using the documentation provided by both parties.\r \r When the committee finds in favor of the resident we would appreciate a direct response from the property to the resident within two weeks and a copy of the payment sent to the Houston Apartment Association for our records.\r \r As a resident, if you do not hear from the property owner within two to three weeks, please contact the HAA office and reference your complaint number and the date of the committee meeting.\r \r When the committee finds in favor of the property owner the decision is final.\r As a resident you may wish to pursue your dispute in Small Claims Court and information to assist you is enclosed. \r \r \r Case #14-010\r \r Edgar Lopez & Diana Herrera vs. Asset Plus Corp.\r Parque View Apts.\r January 8, 2014\r \r The residents filed a complaint with HAA to receive their security deposit. The residents stated management is charging them for issues that were reported but never fixed. There were stains in the bathroom because of leaks.\r Management responded to HAA stating Mr. Lopez and Ms. Herrera were given instructions within their lease regarding move out procedures and cleaning instructions. They were charged accordingly because of their failure to clean the apartment. Enclosed were copies of the lease, application and final account statement. Pictures were also provided.\r The committee decided in favor of management. The committee noted the lease provided by management shows zero deposit paid by the resident. On the final account statement management showed a $200.00 deposit applied to monies owed. The committee felt the charges were justified. The resident owes the property $124.94.\r The resident may wish to pursue this complaint in small claims court.\r \r \r IF YOU WANT TO BE DEALING WITH THIS BULL S..... RENT HER!!!! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 12/14/2013

I have lived here 6 months and will not be signing another lease once mine ends. Before deciding to lease from Parque View Apartments I did a little research. I looked at various reviews from different websites to see if this is where I wanted to live. The majority were negative so I was very wary about leasing here. I did see that the management had changed as well as ownership, and that they were going to refurbish the apartments so I figured things may be different. I was wrong. The apartment is in a great location and they are taking full advantage of it. The ""remodel"" is only on the surface. Basically, they threw a new coat of paint on a trashy old apartment and called it a remodel. Crooked and sticky cabinets, painted over drywall holes, old bath tubs/showers with new paint, crooked doorways with doors that won't shut or catch and paint splatters on the floor and walls. If you look at the 2-1-A it is not even close to a 2 bedroom. The ""2nd"" bedroom is a study that they turned into a second bedroom by changing the entrance door type and placed a hole in the wall for a closet entrance. The apartment is not worth the price tag you pay a month. Not only is the apartment itself not worth the money but the management is pretty bad as well except for one to two individuals. When I signed my lease my apartment number was changed 3 times and my rent was raised from the originally stated price to about 50 more per month even though I had email proof of the original price. Their mistake but I am the one that gets punished. They are often slow to respond to maintenance requests or fail to take responsibility for obvious maintenance issues not caused by the resident. Water interruptions are a common occurrence and their apartments leak AC/Heat like a sinking ship. If you do get maintenance to come in a timely manner they are often leave a mess that doesn't get cleaned up until you confront the management. The management becomes confrontational when you bring up issues with how they are handling themselves and they even push the buck by saying that it is a third party repair so its not their fault... basically, they are never wrong. You are expected to pay all you bills on time, in full and follow all rules (understandable and I do) but they are not held to the same standard when it comes to fixing resident issues, service standards and maintenance. You may ask why did I move here even with all the warning signs and issues before I even moved in? I moved here because it was the only thing that was available at the time, good location and the short time frame I had to find a place before having to move to Houston. I gave this place two stars instead of 1 or less because it is in a great location and one to two of their management staff is decent and genuinely helpful. Avoid this place if possible. I will as soon as my lease is up. more

Don't Live Here! 4/18/2011

DON'T LIVE HERE!!! This place is the absolute worst place I've ever lived. I've had my apartment broken into, and the maintenance were completely unresponsive and rude about changing the locks at that time. COCKROACHES - the giant ones - everywhere despite spraying, traps, and keeping the house clean. Nothing gets fixed, ever. The gates are always broken and left open. SEWAGE keeps overflowing from the pipe outside and they just screw the cap on and wash it down instead of calling a plumber. My toilet and shower don't drain well, probably an extension of the same. The office just puts everybody's packages in a room and lets them grab whatever they want; I had a package containing a $1000 computer STOLEN yesterday and not only are they claiming that they probably never had it (I had a confirmed delivery) they were extremely belligerent and rude while doing so. If you value your possessions and clean housing DON'T live here! more
