I use to be Paul's colorist,and from some of these reviews,I see that some of you are unable to grasp the idea,that he is just not a person who cuts hair. Paul is a artist a visionary. He just doesn't cut your hair ,he sculpts and makes it your own.His salon isn't a place of cookie cutting,it is a place where ART is created. He demands perfection,in all of his people, If you have no vision,or you don't care what you look like .You need to just keep on steppen because you don't belong there, He is exceptional and he pushed me to be the best ,and I am. more

Paul Garcia has been cutting my friend's and my hair for 40 years, I can't imagine a bad review. It smacks of a conspiracy to me. He is simply the best stateside and internationally. I am often told the kindest thing I have done for my friend's is give them Paul Garcia and introduce them to Erno Laszlo skin care. Many of us commute from Hawaii and San Francisco for his wonderful services. You are fortunate he has chosen Denver for his salon. more

Several years ago I went to this Salon. My stylist's name was D.J. Taylor. PLEASE, does anyone know where he is? This was the best cut, style and color I've ever had. D.J. also had his own place downtown called The Station but it is no longer there. It sounds like Paul could use a great stylists like D.J. back at his salon. more

Paul Garcia's Salon moved to 312 St. Paul St and changed the name to R & P Salon. I had gone to Paul a few times 6-7 years ago and found that he gave me the best haircuts I've ever had. So when I was flying into Denver for a vacation, I decided to book an appointment. I was really looking forward to getting a fantastic new hairdo. Paul is a very conceited man - something I already knew, and he apparently does not feel the need to listen to his clients - or more likely, he's just convinced that we don't know what's good for us. But yesterday, he went over the top. He cut my long hair completely off in the back, gave me a bob that's one inch long in the back and longer in the front. It is not remotely like what I asked for (I specifically told him I wanted it long enough to pull back or put up). There are no mirrors at his station, so you can't see what he's doing until he's done. And for kickers, he gave me exactly the same haircut that the 4 women ahead of me were given. To be fair, it's a good haircut in terms of precision, and it's easy to style, but it is NOT even remotely what I asked for or wanted. And it cost $125. While he was supposed to be consulting with me, he insulted my mother who had given me a ride. He told her how he hated her hair and how terrible she looked. He convinced her to let him cut her hair, and he gave her the exact same cut he gave me. So try him if you don't care what your cut looks like. He's very skilled. But he will not listen to you or give you what you request. Pros: Extremely precise, quality haircut Cons: Paul will not listen to what you want more

This is a great example of mid-century style in Denver. Units in the building have amazing views both East and West. Prices have been moving up over the years, especially for those wanting to update to a modern and mid-century modern interior. In 2008-9 units have been ranging in price from $69-140k for studio, 1 and 2 bedrooms. There is a pool on the 17th floor and the views from the roof are spectacular! Paul Garcia is the worst hairdresser ever. Not only is he rude but has no talent. Thinks he is a hotshot stylist. Your hair will look like your child took the scissors after you. more

I went to this salon with high hopes, thinking I would be modernized and so forth. It was a complete rip off; the cut was a chop job, the color washed out after two weeks, and the idea of customer service is not at all a factor for this business. Avoid this place; they are infamous for just chopping off a bunch of hair (unfortunately, I did not know this until after I visited). Rocco is back at Paul Garcias! The salon is back to life with the all the fun and energy that Rocco brings with him. The salon is getting a remodel and new fresh faces are on board! I've been a client of Rocco's for 6 years and now that he is back in a partnership with Paul, the place is rockin! Service is better than ever and everyone is smiling, especially the clients! i love kat. she makes me feel welcome and she is full of possitive energy. i can go in for a full highlight and haircut in just a hour and a half. im very crunched on time and her effecency works well for me. thank you kat! job well done. more

As a performer, I rely on my appearance and that appearance needs to look like my headshot. I am a sandy blonde and went in to get a highlight and cut on my hair. I received the worst coloring job I have ever had on my hair. I was to have foils done, and after a consultation with Paul and Anna, he left me with her with three colors to work into my hair. I specifically said that I wanted a very natural look to blend the roots into what highlighting was there. Anne put foils in in a manner of minutes, using big chunks of hair and not the fine weaving required. She then proceeded to leave me alone for more than 45 minutes. She was not attending a different costumer, she was talking, eating and playing with the other employees. I finally went up to her and said, "does this color shut off by itself?" She said "no, it's bleach and we wanted to get it very platinum" I replyed "platinum never came out of my mouth, I do not want platinum hair!" She then proceeded to argue with me, saying that she had been doing this for 4 years, and she new what she was doing. She rinsed my hair out and I had huge chunks of platinum streaks. I looked like Corella DeVille. Before bursting into tears or a rage, Paul told me to relax, they would fix it. He then ordered her to put in some color, which made me sit even longer. When that was all said and done, I had very deep brunette locks, which looked better, but not what I had asked for and certainly not the women in my headshots. After a cut with Paul, which was very basic, I left after about 3 and a half hours. At $300.00, I was appalled! I then called Paul back to say that this was not what I had asked for and his response was, "well, maybe we are not the salon for you" That was it! He never apologized, never asked what he could do to correct the problem, it was as if I didn't know what was best for me and they had done nothing wrong. I have filed a complaint with the Better Bus. Bureau, I will never recommend Garcia. more

I felt light and breezy while in the chair at Paul's salon - the music was at the perfect level - I could groove and still converse - my tension washed away as my hair fell to the floor. When I looked up and into the mirror I felt sharp and snappy - it felt natural and I looked great!! Thank you to the team at Paul Garcia's Salon - I'll be back! more

Paul Garcia?s salon was the worst experience of my life. Not only did paul give me the most horrific hair cut of my life, the service SUCKED! My appointment was at 1:30, I wasn?t seen by paul until 3:30. Paul was busy eating lunch and socializing with friends while I was waiting?waiting?.waiting. Never once did he apologize. I told him multiple times what I wanted and he didn?t listen. SHAME on paul for being RUDE!!! more
